Guest Si82 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 I was over at Shopzone and found this craptastic t-shirt. On the back it has the top 10 reasons why the wearer is a WWE fan. You can see it on the shirt but according to the desciption on the page it includes the following: "You named your child 'The Rock'' "You asked your wife to partake in some 'HLA'' "Your dog wears a mask and a green cape" "The Divas!!!" (The #1 reason, according to the shirt) I mean who is going to ware this shirt. It makes you embarassed to watch the WWE when people will wear t-shirts like that. Mind you it's good to know that the marketing people pushing "The Divas" as the main selling point of the WWE.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Also, the first couple of "Reasons" sound like signs. As in "You might be a redneck...." but "The Divas!" is actually a reason. Great job WWE. Great job.
Guest kane3212321 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Damn, I was just about to post the exact same thing. This t-shirt sucks, but they've more then made up for it with the Cheat 2 Win t-shirt.
Guest AM The Kid Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Dont forget the new Rikishi shirt, like he needs a shirt anyways..."Have a piece of Kish". Nice play on words guys, I applaud you.
The Dames Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 It's probably better than the ones he's had before, with a picture of his ass on it or "BACK DAT ASS UP". Why anyone would ever wear that (for free) boggles the mind... Dames
Guest AM The Kid Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 I'd giggle like a little school girl if you ever wore that shirt Dames.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 I think I'd make fun of someone wearing that shirt. They stopped coming up with good shirts consistantly a couple years ago
Guest TheArchiteck Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Rikishi makes me embarrassed to watch wrestling around non wrestling fans.
Guest kurtangledoesnotsuck Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Vince McMahon is pissing money away. There are so many different gimmicks, merchandise, etc, that were released too quickly, handled badly, and thus never drew a buck. On a side note, watching the old WWF logos blurred out in old footage is not only sad, it's unwatchable and they'll never sell any more videos unless they grow some balls and show the old logo unblurred.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 The marketing guys must be a group or morons, although I am told wrestlers come up with most of the ideas for their t-shirts. I mean, its widely acknowledged that the only fans watching now are the die-hard ones. So why not make the t-shirts that we would buy (no pics, plain text, short-sayings, shirts you can wear anywhere else other than wrestling related stuff). Those sort of shirts are what casual fans would buy. Idiots.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Good thing attendance/ratings are down, otherwise more people would see how awful these shirts are...
Guest wwF1587 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 is there any mention of great wrestling every week from every show.. cause if there is id laugh.. oh and noone could pay me enough (maybe) to wear that shirt in public... but in a few weeks i will probably see some dumb mark wearing it... then ill laugh
Guest EternallyLazy Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 I wonder how much the person that came up with that shit gets paid? Probably more than I do... which is depressing However, I could see a dumbass hick with a mullet wearing a shirt like that
Guest kurtangledoesnotsuck Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 It won't sell. Hell, I'm no marketing genius, but a toddler could tell you that no-one is going to buy a shirt that has a huge monologue on it.
Guest bravesfan Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 It's probably better than the ones he's had before, with a picture of his ass on it or "BACK DAT ASS UP". Why anyone would ever wear that (for free) boggles the mind... Dames compared to....
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Is "Wrestling" even in the Top 10 on that t-shirt?
