Upcoming Smackdown Taping Attendance

Recommended Posts

The SD tapings in Philly this Tuesday is expected to have 7,000 people in a 17,000 arena. That is sad and surprising since it is a TV taping. At this rate maybe the WWE will run house shows in high schools. Didn't the WWF run some house shows in high schools in 1995?

Yeah, they did, including one in my HS (Bellport, NY). Here were the results:

WWF @ Bellport - February 12, 1995

Man Mountain Rock defeated Mike Bell

Mabel defeated Tony Devito

Hakushi defeated Aldo Montoya

Doink the Clown defeated the Brooklyn Brawler

WWF Tag Team Champions the Smoking Gunns defeated Mike Bell & the Executioner

King Kong Bundy defeated Adam Bomb

Jacob & Eli Blu fought the New Headshrinkers to a double count-out

Lex Luger defeated Tatanka in a lumberjack match

God, you know this sucks when LEX LUGER is in the main event against Tatanka.

Philly, eh?

I'm surprise. I'd expect a few more people to show up, if only because it's PHILLY and PAUL HEYMAN is on the show.

Then again, most of the ECW Mutants still in Philly are probably already the ones that bought tickets...

Hogan and Rock, but they really aren't confirmed to be there.

Go to wwe.com... the image hyping HHH/Lesnar at MSG tonight changes to one confirming that Hogan will be in Philly for the SD taping on Tuesday.

WWE should really start having their TV tapings at smaller arenas. I'm not saying tiny 3,000 seat arenas, but, for in most markets, they seem to have trouble selling more than 10,000 tickets for them, so why book big buildings?

WORCESTER CENTRUM

HARA ARENA IN DAYTON, OH

They're big enough to not be an embarassment, and small enough to sell-out fast.

I guess Team Angle and Brock Lesner can't put asses in seats.

Nobody in the WWE is putting asses in the seats, so it's quite unfair to name Team Angle & Brock.

Why were they running this card in a high school?!

I hate my high school and even I wouldn't wish that card on it.

That proves my point that Brock is bombing as a draw, i think it was too soon to turn him face.Being the #1 guy means that people are paying to see him, back in 98 people were paying to see Austin, not Shamrock or even Taker, and the way Brock is being push he should be putting more asses in seats.

It's not Brock so much as how they're using him. He's being programmed against Big Show as a stop gap on his way to WM. That would kill anyone's heat.
