Edge goes over Rock-thus elevating him into a Main Eventer.

Hey since we seem to have those top five matches fairly pegged down, where do you all think Edge & Benoit will end up, against each other? Putting Edge back with Rey? Personally I'd like to see an Edge/Rey match against Team Angle at WM. Also, as far as the which world title is shown more importance, I believe it varies for each PPV, as it was Brock for both Unforgiven & No Mercy, & then to the Raw title for SS, Armageddon & RR. Personally I think Hogan/McMahon may be the final match at WM because if the Hulk-a-stalgia is still strong it won't matter if an earlier match blows it away.

I was thinking something similar... but in the form of a gimmick match perhaps. Could you imagine a TLC match between Team Angle/Los Guerreros/Edge & Rey Rey? I personally think that it would kick all kinds of ass

One thing I would say. Im a massive fan of his work, but if Am Drag was to get signed up, by God he needs an image change. On Velocity, he looked so out of place. Give the boy an image and let him fly

I really find that they have no Idea what to do with Triple H quite interesting. They seemed to have 14 matches planned except the Raw World Title Match...I am assuming they WILL go with Nash/HHH but Suppose Nash can't make it by then...Will they just stretch out the Steiner fued or have another meaningless Title match between HHH and RVD?

 

Why do they insist on Rock/Austin III? It's promised to be great but I seriously doubt they can top x17.

 

Are they shooting to have over 16 matches? Is it Gonna be 4 1/2 hours?

 

Have they had any announcements about Live performences...I'd say if Jericho has to job at least let Saliva bring him in...It would be cool if all the people with Bands/Singers would be there live...

 

Here is What I forsee with The whole Smackdown Talent murky area...Either they go with SMD6 Vs Hoss or They cram the SMD Talent together in one mess fess TLC tag Match...

It's Logical...If they do the Three way dance, then you got your storyline RIGHT there...Edge screwing Benoit would be a simple and workable storyline.

 

Then You can just have 4 way Tag Title Dance with Team Angle Vs Eddy/Chavo Mysterio/Kidman and Cena/Redd Dogg.

rock/austin, other than popping the WM buyrate (and ONLY the WM buyrate) would serve absolutely no purpose at all. say austin wins: so what, he already beat the rock the last 3240374 times they fought. nothing is accomplished. say rock wins: he goes right back to hollywood, nothing is accomplished.

 

rock needs to put somebody over at this WM, BIG time. namely benoit, who desperately needs a huge win after coming so close at the rumble, or else he'll be stuck with the choker label & the fans won't want to get behind him again. hell, edge will even work, just have him put over somebody that's not steve austin. because (a) they need him to make new stars while he still feels like wrestling, and (b) he's got teflon heat & it doesn't matter how much he loses anyway.

 

as much as i hate to admit it, trips is the best WM opponent for austin. there's no other big heels available right now, & trips doesn't have many options after the steiner thing plays out.

YES This is my only problem with having Brock/Beniot at Mania. He CAN'T keep losing. If they have Benoit Job to Brock, they should probably give Chris a two month reign or so off of Angle after Kurt beats Brock at Summerslam.

it totally baffles me how he can go home one of the top three guys in the fans' eyes after the rumble, & come back to be stuck in a meaningless tag match that he loses anyway, & is even the one pinned. are they building to angle/benoit at NWO? why bother, if benoit's only going to lose again? are they moving angle on to someone else? then why did they have him make benoit lose again? my head hurts.

On American Dragon, I think its good that they want him to get some kind of image, because his look right now is...not really appealing. It shows that they are at least interested. I'd assume they would want to take the Benoit route with Dragon and make him a technical beat-down king.

I don't think they expected the ovation at the Rumble, and had little to nothing for him to do betweeen now and Mania at the very earliest. I kinda expected it. I really don't think there will be an Angle/Benoit rematch at NWO.

 

Ah well. The Rumble proved that he can get back to where he was in May/June 2001, no reason he can't do it again somewhere down the road later this year.

The problem with having a ton of main events in a row, is that the crowd will burn out too quickly, and it would make great matches come across as dull. Sure it may not matter to you, but it matters to the live crowd, and like it or not, Vince listens to crowd reactions to gauge who he assumes to be over or not over.

 

And Angle v Lesnar HAS to go on last. It has to be put as the main event, to give either of them, or the WWE belt serious credibility. If neither they, nor the belt has that, then how are any of them supposed to have a hope of drawing.

At this point in time I'm seriously wondering if Triple H will actually be fit to wrestle at Mania. The man's injuries are getting more and more frequent, soon he's going to be forced into another lengthy absence. I see no guarantee that Triple H will even be in a match, let alone a high-profile one. Hogan-Vince can go mid-card easy, it'll be like Shane-Vince at X-7 or Flair-Taker at X-8. What I worry about with all these main-events is where the hell the under-card comes in. If it was up to me, I'd simply give Raw no undercard matches due to its workers being shitty and undeserving of a Wrestlemania spot. They surely have to fit Rey, Edge, Benoit, Los Guerreros, Team Angle and Cena in somewhere. Shit, Undertaker too, worse luck. Its gonna get ugly.

If WWE is going to do RAW/Smackdown only PPVs, then they better go back to the 2 hour, $20 dollar style. There is no way in hell I'm going to pay $35 for a PPV with an undercard of Test vs Jeff Hardy.

Going back to $20 2-hour PPVs? Yeah, right. We'll get the same shit from RAW for 3 hours instead of 2 once every few months and, when buyrates bomb, it'll be blamed on the RVDs and the Jerichos and Bookers who are, most likely, being booked in the midcard against Test, Three Minute Warning, or William Regal.
