Guest Jobber of the Week

http://www.411wrestling.com/news/newsboard...hp?news_id=5529

Triple H is suffering from a deep thigh bruise, which is related to the injury he suffered in December. He missed the RAW house show last night in Minneapolis and will also miss the big house show tonight in Madison Square Garden. He was scheduled to headline the show against Brock Lesnar (who was to be managed by Stephanie McMahon) in a RAW vs. Smackdown match.

At this point, he will still appear on the MSG show in some capacity, and is likely to appear on RAW this Monday.

1)He has bad matches

2)He isn't a significant draw

3)He doesn't put anyone over, and worse he buries his opponents

4)He has been involved in some of the worst angles in the past year

5)He is injury prone...

Yet they have pushed him strong for the past 6 months as champ...

Get a clue Vince.

4)He has been involved in some of the worst angles in the past year

Is that really his fault though?

But yea- He did job to Lesnar last year in Lesnar's hometown I think

Booker T was put in some incredibly bad angles and skits and he came out looking like gold.

Jobbing and Putting over are two different things. HHH 'jobbed' to Dvon and Test this year - and it did nothing for their careers.

Yeah, I'm sure he really had no say in the creative direction of his character....

But still- You can't blame for necrophilia and all that. That's Vince's fault.

It's automatically assumed that everything that goes on in the WWF is Vinces fault - so it's never really brought up... It's just a universal truth.

However, HHH has well documented influence over the direction of his character and various angles that go on in the WWF. To say he couldn't weasel his way out of the necrophilia angle is a bit silly. He did the same thing with Foley back in 2000 and it was successful - so I wouldn't put it past him to try and recreate that with kane... So he didn't object to it.

HHH and Steph managed to turn a WM main event angle into their own personal fun joke - so lets not pretend that HHH can't effect the way his storylines are run.

This brock/hhh talk reminds me. Has anyone seen global warning? It's nothing special, obviously, but what I find somewhat incredible is that these people have all taken the F-5 perfectly:

Mark henry

undertaker

big show

rikishi

kane

hulk effing hogan

ric flair

and yet, hhh takes it horribly. I think that speaks volumes.

Is Triple H ever not injured? Every week he seems to be suffering from something.

Who knows, maybe on Raw we'll get JR going on and on about what a "gutsy individual" HHH is again for working with an injury again

*cringes*

Gawd, don't ya even say that! Frankly I don't really need to hear anymore about Triple H on Raw than the 25-30 mins they plug him during the show.

I know he landed wrong, but I can't remember how. On his side maybe?

Hogan took it pretty well for a 50 year old man with bad knees.

Hogan did take a pretty good one once though.

Seems a shame that Trips probably did this to get out of jobbing.

I don't remember what it was either, to be honest, All I know is he landed in a "How the hell?" position. It was like knees first landing and the rest of him hit with his side.

1) They're not BAD, just not particuarly fantastically Benoit-mind blowing.

2) Bullshit, i could name you about 20 marks i know that watch purely FOR HHH

3) Once again, bullshit. I spose you too think Jericho isn't top heel on RAW cause of Trippers? Wouldn't be the fact he wrestles like a cruiserweight trapped in a steroid hall would it?

4) He doesn't write the angles, so don't blame him for them

5) He's wrestled pretty much non-stop all year dispite a few injuries, he's hardly Scott Steiner.

Just playing devil's advocate because I'm sick of people just blatantly lashing out at Trippers simply because he doesn't suplex people and hasn't got an ankle lock in his arsenal.

They are not up to the standard they should be. Thus making them bad.

2) Bullshit, i could name you about 20 marks i know that watch purely FOR HHH

Yet the ratings and buyrates and attendance show no indication of this.

3) Once again, bullshit. I spose you too think Jericho isn't top heel on RAW cause of Trippers? Wouldn't be the fact he wrestles like a cruiserweight trapped in a steroid hall would it?

I think that when it takes a year to get back into the main event title picture after a feud with HHH that something is wrong. I also think that Jericho being the lotion boy for Steph and the Dog walker for HHH in the Main Event feud for WM isn't right. But that's me being logical... Silly me for connecting "HHH and Steph have Power" and "HHH and Steph become main focus of a main event level storyline" and "Everytime Jericho feuds with HHH he gets sent down the card afterwards" with "HHH buries Jericho". Cause that's wrong; IT'S BECAUSE HE DOESN'T WRESTLE THE MAIN EVENT STYLE!

4) He doesn't write the angles, so don't blame him for them

But he controls every aspect of his character - look how elaborate his ring entrance is - look how much stronger a heel he is to every other heel on the roster - HHH has some say in what goes on in his angles.

5) He's wrestled pretty much non-stop all year dispite a few injuries, he's hardly Scott Steiner.

He was gone from KOTR to Summerslam. And he wrestled the last HBK ppv hurt too. And he got hurt at Survivor Series.

Just playing devil's advocate because I'm sick of people just blatantly lashing out at Trippers simply because he doesn't suplex people and hasn't got an ankle lock in his arsenal.

And I hate the evolution of HHH's name. I put 'HHH' down for convenience, I have no clue as to why you call him trippers...that's just a pet peeve of mine... I am 'lashing out' at HHH not because he is angle or benoit, I am lashing out because the amount of time the WWF invests in him is simply NOT PAYING OFF. You remember his heel run of 2000? Who ended up finally beating him? NO ONE! He turned face and had a mini-feud with Benoit and then turned back into a heel and did a long program with Austin. Then he got injured, came back as a face, buried Jericho in the aforementioned ways, then turned heel AGAIN to which he has currently beaten RVD, Kane, Bubba Ray, HBK, and soon-to-be defeated Scott Steiner. Who do you think will eventually get the best of HHH? He's buried everyone in sight.

RavishingRickRudo: Also wonders why Chris Benoit did not get a video package detailing his passion for wrestling and ring related injury...

But, from what I've been told, you-know-who gets a mention in the commentary. That alone has caused it to be my next DVD purchase.

Of note on the Global Warming DVD, they totally mute Edge's massive pop from his entrance, and cut out Kurt Angle's match entirely.

1) They're watchable in most aspects, no need to be too critical

2) Of course, how silly of me to forget that Angle and Benoit are drawing 7.0 ratings every thursday

3) Look at the comparison of brawlers in the main event to high flyers throughout WWF history. You could count the high flyers on one hand. Vince runs the company, not Triple H, and he is the one who see's Hunter as the main guy, whether you like him in that position or not.

4) Agreed that he has a good say in his charecter but then again so does most main eventers today, and Triple H knows , as well as everyone else, that he has to do as his boss tells him. Im sure Hunter could dispute how an angle ends, but i doubt he could CHANGE it entirely when Vince is the guy churning out the shit the roster has to eat.

5) Injury prone or not, his matches with HBK were fantastic, heated brawls. I loved every second of them.

6) Bullshit he's buried everyone. Giving a mic to RVD is like sticking a drug addict in a warehouse full of herion and asking them to behave, you just KNOW they'll fuck up. Not to mention that RVD is a HIGH FLYER and i dont think i need to re-state my argument from earlier on. Kane was buried by the revolting angle he was in, not by Triple H. Hunter did his best to make him look remotely intimidating while he could. HBK beat Triple H, guess he BURIED him too eh? And Hunter worked his ass off to make Roid Steiner look at least HALF decent at the Rumble, even though that's like trying to get blood from rock.

Use Your Illusion - Trippers, Trippers, Trippers...sorry couldn't resist

Sorry, but I don't buy PPVs for 'watchable' main events. But it's my fault for having such a high standard, eh?

2) Of course, how silly of me to forget that Angle and Benoit are drawing 7.0 ratings every thursday

Never claimed they were. Of course, they haven't been put into the position HHH is in so who am I to say they can't?

3) Look at the comparison of brawlers in the main event to high flyers throughout WWF history. You could count the high flyers on one hand. Vince runs the company, not Triple H, and he is the one who see's Hunter as the main guy, whether you like him in that position or not.

Yes, because it was Vince Mcmahon who told HHH and Steph to include lucy the dog into the storyline...mmm hmm.. yes it was.

4) Agreed that he has a good say in his charecter but then again so does most main eventers today, and Triple H knows , as well as everyone else, that he has to do as his boss tells him. As I said before - HHH had success with mocking mick foley. This kane thing was similar in style but not so much in content. I doubt it very much that HHH had objected to it in the first place. I also think he could have stopped it as well.

5) Injury prone or not, his matches with HBK were fantastic, heated brawls. I loved every second of them.

Good for you. Putting the title on a guy who is injury prone is not a smart idea and puts an already weak title in jeopardy of becoming weaker with a phantom drop (hmm, where have we seen THAT before...Birds of a feather...)

6) Bullshit he's buried everyone. Giving a mic to RVD is like sticking a drug addict in a warehouse full of herion and asking them to behave, you just KNOW they'll fuck up. I have a problem with this: HHH saying, on the mic, that ____ is not good enough to be at the top - and HHH beating said person and said person being dropped from the feud. It happened with Bubba, it happened with Kane, it happened with Jericho, it happened with RVD. When a heel says "You are not in my league" the face is supposed to rise up and prove him wrong - not prove him right. I also find it convenient that Kane beat Jericho for the title just so HHH could unify it...

I can't think of a single person who has benefited from a feud with HHH...
