Guest Steve J. Rogers Report post Posted February 4, 2003 Since I found out why Sean Astin's name sounded familiar, now everytime I see Sam in LOTR I half expect him to whip out an inhaler and/or make a speech about it being "our time" Here is another funny one, watching Terry Farrell on one episode of Becker. It was a Christmas episode and Reggie had to drag a tree from Mid-Town Manhattan (I think) all the way back to The Bronx where her restaurant is. Anyway in classic sit-com style the tree ends up getting the Charlie Brown treatment by the time she gets back but while whatching it I'm saying "Gee on her last show all she had to do was just get it transported" Her last show being Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Steve

I half expect him to call Frodo "Weasel" and try to dress Gollum in skater clothes. (Thanks for the save, Steve-O.)
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted February 4, 2003 No has mentioned anything about Denzel in "Training Day," much to my surprise. I loved that movie, and Denzel carried Ethan Hawke and everyone else's asses through it.
Guest notJames Report post Posted February 4, 2003 I don't see how his role was so unfamiliar. He's played law enforcement roles before (albeit not the crooked type) in Virtuosity, Crimson Tide and Ricochet, and his lawyer character in Philadelphia wasn't so clean-cut, either. I guess in a way, his being a tried-and-true bad guy is a bit of a stretch from him, but the role wasn't that big a stretch. If you want unfamiliar, watch Denzel go from jazz musician in Mo' Better Blues to Shakespearean side character in Much Ado About Nothing. Now that's unfamiliar. Guest EdwardKnoxII Report post Posted February 4, 2003 Don't forget about Micheal Chiklis. From the nice sweet guy from the Commish, Toni Scalie and some goofy ass guy on Daddio to the meanass, take shit from no one crooked cop in Vic Mackey.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted February 4, 2003 Pat Hingle as anything but Com. Gordon Michael Gough as anything but Robin Keaton going from comedic genius in his early films, (Night Shift ruled it.) to PERFECT as Batman. Mifune as anything but Yojimbo Mark Hamill in Village of the Damned Peter Cushing in the Hammer movies. (Come on, I love Cushing like a father, but Tarkin sticks with you.) Guest Madmartigan21 Report post Posted February 6, 2003 David Duchovney (Mulder in X-Files) as a transvestite FBI agent in Fire Walk With Me, the Twin Peaks prequel. I'm fairly certain David Duchovny was NOT in "Fire Walk With Me". He WAS however in a few episodes of the TV show.
Guest notJames Report post Posted February 6, 2003 Yeah... no Duchovny is listed. Maybe you're confusing him with Kyle McLachlan from the TV series. And after looking on imdb.com, I didn't realize that Heather Graham was in Fire Walk... It's been so long since I've seen it.

And after looking on imdb.com, I didn't realize that Heather Graham was in Fire Walk... It's been so long since I've seen it. Ummm..... what? I checked the imdb as well, David Duchovny is NOT listed as being in "Fire Walk With Me", not to mention the fact that I don't remember him being in it. Kyle MacLachlan, however, was in both the movie AND the TV series.
