Guest Bling-Bling Buchanan Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 http://sponsors.wwe.com/magpoll/index.html# So The Game-uh and Big Daddy Quad makes it, but not Mankind? Shocking.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 If we try hard enough, we could get Bruno as the winner... BWAHAHAHAHAHA... Almost had myself there for a minute. You can see how the WWF wants it to go. And even if it doesn't go that way, it will (wink)"Go that way"(wink). Bruno vs Flair HHH vs HBK Backlund vs Graham Rock vs Big Daddy Cool ---------- Austin vs Yoko Bret vs Taker Pedro vs Savage Hogan vs Angle
Guest Coffey Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I picked the following: Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Bob Backlund, The Rock, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Randy Savage & Hulk Hogan.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Flair with HHH Backlund with Rock THEN Rock with HHH as the semis Austin with Bret Savage with Hogan THEN Austin with Hogan Austin vs. Rock in the end.
Guest Brian Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I picked Bruno over Flair. OLD SCHOOL~!
Guest Choken One Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 My Finals: HBK/Hart WWE finals HHH/Taker.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Man-o-Man, would McMahon ever be bitter if Bruno went all the way... Bruno vs. Bret in the finals! C'mon!
Guest Bling-Bling Buchanan Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Bruno vs Flair HHH vs HBK Backlund vs Graham Rock vs Big Daddy Cool ---------- Austin vs Yoko Bret vs Taker Pedro vs Savage Hogan vs Angle Foley should be in HHH's spot and The Warrior should be in Big Daddy "Ow, my" Quad's spot. Warrior may have sucked too, but he was hell of a bigger draw than Nash.
Guest Sakura Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Flair HHH Backlund Rock Austin Bret Savage Angle My picks. It would be funny if HHH wins.
Guest Austin3164life Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 This kind of thing has been done to death, reincarnation, and another death.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Hogan, Savage, Flair, Rock, Austin are definites. Backlund and Graham is just there to get beaten by the Rock. Taker/Bret could go one way or the other, as could HBK/HHH. Either way, Taker/Austin and Bret/Austin have become staple feuds of the WWE - there is no coincidence there. As well, both HBK and HHH are huge Flair marks. I'd say that HHH would win, however, because the WWF is just silly like that. Hogan vs. Austin in the Semis is guaranteed - which makes me wonder why they weren't on opposite ends of the tournament (well, I don't REALLY have to wonder why...) and Rock is guaranteed into the finals along with whomever wins HHH/HBK.
Guest CED Ordonez Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Bruno over Flair Trips over HBK Billy Graham (mouse slip) over Backlund Rock over Nash Austin over Yokozuna Hart over 'Taker Angle over Hogan (or: The Smark in Me over Old School Nostalgia)
Guest Bling-Bling Buchanan Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 HHH wasn't that great a champion. Am I forgetting something?
Guest Sakura Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Yes, you are. HHH's title reign like saved the WWF Championship after the 1999 debacle.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Arguing about who is better is pointless - it is better to look at who the WWF expects to win, then you can see how they are thinking. And as always, they are hoping for the 'attitude' era to outshine hulkamania. Good ole Vince, no loyalty whatsoever. These pairings don't even make sense in terms of generations or title reigns. Just the WWF doing what they always do, work the fans.
Guest Brian Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 C'mon you guys. Flair was champ for such a small period of time, think about how much Bruno meant to a pre-WrestleMania WWF and WWWF.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 And think about how many fans (that will be voting) have seen Bruno wrestle compared to Flair.
Guest bravesfan Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 These were my votes. For some of the more questionable, I pointed out which reigns made the difference for me in each vote. Bruno HBK - based on his post WMXII run, against Nash, Foley, Vader, Sid, etc. Backlund Rock - I voted for Rock, simply because Nash's reigns were SO BAD in every aspect. Austin - Wrestlemania 14 - KOTR with two ****+ matches with Foley.. Bret - WMX - Survivor Series 1994. Savage - by default, because I never seen a Morales match. Hogan - Angle's title runs were pretty abysmal, heat-wise. This current reign has the heat, but the lack of defending it due to injury, combined with the probable end at Wrestlemania 19, leaves it quite short of Hogan's 84-88 reign.
Guest Brian Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Still, most who saw Flair saw him in WCW and without the WWF title.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Brian, do you think that actually matters to either the WWF or the majority of its fans? Most fans will just see Flairs name and click on it because of name recognition. It has been implanted in most peoples brain that 'flair = greatness'. Bruno hardly ever gets mentioned on WWF tv.
Guest Austin3164life Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Yes, you are. HHH's title reign like saved the WWF Championship after the 1999 debacle. If I recall, the WWF's most profitable year in terms of merchandising, gate, ratings, and buyrates was 1999.....unless you are speaking in terms of overall wrestling product (matches, storylines). Wait, nevermind. I think I know now that you're referring to the obsurd number of times the World Title switched hands.
Guest Army Eye Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Foley should be in HHH's spot and The Warrior should be in Big Daddy "Ow, my" Quad's spot. Warrior may have sucked too, but he was hell of a bigger draw than Nash. Heh.. interesting take, since HHH was a bigger draw than Foley.
Guest Sakura Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 And Mick never had any big title reigns. He has held the belt for like a month total.
Mecha Mummy Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Mick's title runs were all short. I love the guy, but he shouldn't be here. I voted for... Flair Trips Backlund Rock Austin Bret Hogan
Guest RevEvil Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Bruno Savage Yoko Bret Nash HBK Angle Backlund
Guest Aero Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Bruno over Flair HHH over HBK Backlund over Graham Rock over Diesel ---------- Austin over Yokozuna Bret over Undertaker Savage over Pedro Angle over Hogan (Whooo!)
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Here's my votes, though the results will probably be rigged like most WWE polls seem to be, either by the WWE themselves or somebody voting tons and tons of times for one person themselves. Bruno HBK Backlund Rock Austin Bret Savage Hogan
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 As has been said before, Vince will rig this poll like he does every other one.
Guest eiker_ir Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 i voted - Flair (i haven't seen enough o Bruno) - HBK (one of my favorites of all time) - Backlund (i like him) - The Rock (c'mon) - Austin ( ) - Bret (my favorite of all time) - Maaaaaacho Man (he rules) - Hogan (Angles is better but hasn't been champion long enough to be in this list) woooooooo, let's go bret! let's go bret!
Guest mach7 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 How the fuck does Buddy Rogers not make it into this poll?
