The Dames Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 We usually call each other by our user names, so I'm curious, what do people call you in the real world ("I should have taken the blue pill"). For example...here, we call Kotzenjunge either Kotz or Spoon. What do they call you....Patrick? Spoon? What? People actually call me Dames, but that's only a select few. Dames
Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Popick everyone cept for my girl calls me Popick to her "im big poppa" haha, just kidding, she calls me Stephen
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 It's Spoon, yo. Kinda evolved from the majority of high school when I called myself The Spoon, since I was such a Rock mark. Either way, folks just looooooved the name Spoon so much that it became my virtual first name, as some people honestly didn't know what my first name was. Worse would be the people who didn't know why I was being called Spoon.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I'm exclude what the girls call me, because... well, I just don't think you want to know. An odd habit of mine is when I first meet people, I tell them my name is Tommy Dreamer. If I still talk to them after a week or so, I'll tell them my real name, which is David, although most people call me Dave. I also get called by my last name a good deal, which is McLaughlin, but usually pronounced as "Mick Lock Tin"
Guest Kingpk Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 In high school, people called me "Peter K." because they didn't want to pronounce my last name (which isn't that hard to pronounce, it's Kos-ka, the t is silent).
Guest Zack Malibu Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 In real life I get called: Chris, Zack, Preppy or D (first initial of my last name) by my friends. On any given day it could be one of the four. Family and occasionally my g/f will call me Christopher. EDIT:Oh, and now some people are starting to call me "CJ" (middle name is Joseph). I'm waiting for someone REALLY lazy to start calling me "CJD".
Guest papacita Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 My real name is Akeem. I've been called Keem, Keemy (by the ladies), [The] Dream, Dreamer, Dreamy, and Pepe (gotta love Lauren). Edit: Towards the end of high school, some of my friends were starting to call me Panther, because my AOL screen names were Bombsquadpanther, Panther2g1, Panther2k1 (all based on my e-wrestler Panther).
Guest Zack Malibu Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 My real name is Akeem. I've been called Keem, Keemy (by the ladies), [The] Dream, Dreamer, Dreamy, and Pepe (gotta love Lauren). I hereby dub you Pepe-cita.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 My friends and family call me Jay, my coworkers call me Mario, my wife calls me Jackass.

Guest DrTom Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Just about everyone calls me Tom. I know if someone calls and asks for "Thomas," that it's a telemarketer, so I just tell them he's not home. "Dr. Tom" is a nickname of mine dating back to high school. I got called that a lot back then, and people who recognize me from school still call me that on occasion.
Guest Sassquatch Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Sass. I've been called that my whole life and even the girls I went out with have called me Sass rather than by my first name. My user name is just a nickname that some buddy's of mine came up with when we were in middle school. To this day I am still called Sassquatch in some cirlces.
The Dames Posted February 7, 2003 Author Report Posted February 7, 2003 I've probably told this story before, but fuck it. "Dames" came to be because my friend Juan realized that everyone had a 1 syllable name or nickname but me...so he called me Dames as a joke and everyone laughed. It was a running joke, like Agnes. One day, I declared myself The Dames, like The Rock...and the rest is history. Dames
Guest Sassquatch Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Except the Rock is cool. And he's an ethnic enigma. And he wasn't born in the dirty Bronx. And etc. You get my point.
Guest Kinetic Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Just Danny. No one calls me anything else.
The Dames Posted February 7, 2003 Author Report Posted February 7, 2003 Dames came before The Rock. Everything else is true Dames
Guest AM The Kid Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 My real name is Akeem. *gasp* THE AFRICAN DREAM!

I get that a lot too.
Guest Sassquatch Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Maybe so but no one cares about the Dames. The Rock is the one who has the MILLIONS...*waits for crowd* and MILLIONS of Rock fans. I mean, that's a pretty big number to beat when compared to your several or so Damamaniacs out there. Of course 4 of them are Banky's former identities too.
The Dames Posted February 7, 2003 Author Report Posted February 7, 2003 Damamaniacs sounds like a Japanese Fighting Anime. I might not have millions, or even hundreds of thousands.... Then again, I'm not named after a hairy bigfooted myth. Dames
Guest Sassquatch Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I am quite real Mr.Mayor. It is YOU that can not see my greatness since you can not accept it. Someday you will truly realize the power of the 'Quatch.
Guest AM The Kid Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Most people call me A.M. or "that kid" and alot of times jackass.
The Dames Posted February 7, 2003 Author Report Posted February 7, 2003 That's funny....I usually say AM when I talk about you, like "Green Eggs and Ham, I am", or whatever the fuck its supposed to be. Sass. Bring. It. Lower. I Can't Reach. Dames
Guest Sassquatch Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 You're just lucky I don't step on you. *leans down towards Dames* Is that better little boy?
The Dames Posted February 7, 2003 Author Report Posted February 7, 2003 Your feet smell, dood. You win. Dames
Guest Sassquatch Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 That's just you breathing on my feet boyo. If you were taller it would smell like I have a nasty crotch. Just keep the tuna breath to a minimum there rugrat.
Guest SP-1 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 "Stu". I despise "Stuart" and in any event would much rather go by "Harlan" but it never sticks.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 All my friends call me Smiles or Smilos because I apparently smile all the time. It's gotten to the point where when I introduce myself, I say "Joe, but people call me Smiles."
Guest RepoMan Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 At home everyone calls me Gronie, and at college everyone calls me Butters.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Duncs, Duncan, Duncan Donuts, Loch, EOJ NACNUD, or Joe.
