Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted February 8, 2003 The following news is derived and re-written from the Torch Newsletter. Big changes in the negotiation between Bill Goldberg and WWE. WWE is apparently pushing for Goldberg to work 10 dates per month, basically working a regular schedule with the company while Goldberg himself is only interested in the two big paydays - WrestleMania and one more PPV match to follow. In addition to that, Goldberg is telling WWE who he will and will not take a job to. Those who he will not job to are Triple H and Brock Lesnar. WWE is looking to book Goldberg vs. Rock at WrestleMania, which everyone is aware of at this point, followed by Goldberg vs. Hulk Hogan, and Goldberg in matches against Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, and The Undertaker. Due to the fact that no deal has been reached between both sides thus far, WWE has two plans prepared. One, have storylines ready for Goldberg if the deal does come through, and the second being book for storylines without Goldberg if the deal falls flat. That would seem obvious to most, but with WWE's reputation of booking on the fly, it's good that they have their game plan ready with or without Bill Goldberg. lordsofpain.net
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 8, 2003 If he won't job to HHH or Lesnar- then don't bother signing him.
Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted February 8, 2003 It just doesn't get said enough: Fuck Goldberg.
Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted February 8, 2003 Don't bother signing him regardless. Really, think about it....What difference will it make if Goldberg signs with the WWE or not? I don't see him being a great addition to the roster, in or out of the ring.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 8, 2003 Job him to Angle and Benoit. Who cares aboit HHH and Lesnar?
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted February 8, 2003 Goldberg is popular in the mainstream and signing him will get WWE much needed attention. That is the main reason to sign him. I don't get all the Goldberg hate. I thought his matches were always exciting in WCW and he isn't that bad in the ring like everyone says here.
Guest Banky Report post Posted February 8, 2003 Feed him to Austin simply to prove that their star was creater than WCW's. Goldberg copped Austin's image, and Austin kicked his ass. It would ruin Goldberg's *legend* (and I stress the *) status, and prove to all fans that Austin is the best there ever was.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted February 8, 2003 So what if he won't job to Trips and Lesnar. He's smart enough to know that the first person they'd job him to is Triple H, and hasn't Lesnar gone over ENOUGH people already? Going over Goldberg won't help him anymore than going over Austin would. I say sign him, let him fight Rock, let him fight Austin, and then let him go. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted February 8, 2003 If he won't job to the top star on one show and the top face on the other, do not sign him.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted February 8, 2003 Job him to Angle and Benoit. Who cares aboit HHH and Lesnar? Even though you don't like Lesnar, I'm sure you'll admit that jobbing Lesnar to Goldberg will serve no purpose. Now...if he goes on SmackDown! then it'll seem weird to not have him fight the other uber-Monster babyface on the show. And if he doesn't, they job Kurt Angle to him. (If he won't job to HHH and they bring him in, he WILL NOT job to Angle or Benoit.) If he goes to RAW the only guy he can feud with is HHH or Austin.
Guest Brian Report post Posted February 8, 2003 Goldberg still gets mainstream attention? He still wants to trade wins with Rock. They don't need short-term fixes. They've basically cycled through evry one of those by now. And business hasn't picked up.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted February 8, 2003 I hope they bring in Goldberg just so when that fails they are all out of "big" surprises and actually have to change the writing process. And if he is saying that he wont job to HHH and Lesnar then they will have three completely fucked storylines. HHH won't job in his feud, they most likely won't job Lesnar in his feud, and Goldberg will throw a hissy fit if he jobs so your top three feuds are all going to be a given as to who will win. and by the way Fuck Goldberg
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Anybody know how the money aspect of the negotiations are going? I'm interested in hearing Goldberg's price.
Guest Breetai Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Notice how only one of the planned matches could possibly result in him giving his final rub to someone? Guess which one he's going over in.
Guest notJames Report post Posted February 9, 2003 I think it bears repeating: Fuck Goldberg. Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg Fuck Goldberg BTW, Goldberg actually co-opted Shamrock's gimmick. They wanted a more shoot-fighter look for the bald never-was... just so happened black was the colour scheme of choice. Oh, and one more thing... Fuck Goldberg
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted February 9, 2003 not that Im any fan of HHH or Lesner Goldberg has no Right to Tell Anyone who he will or will NOT job to. he has no seniority in the Company and its disrespectful for those whom are already in the company... its bad enough He'll get his old Goldberg Push and Squash people anyway. Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Why have Lesnar and HHH beat him? It's bad enough these two are like damn near undefeatable monsters and no one are in their league.

Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted February 9, 2003 why the hell are they signing this peice of crap again.... i think its funny he refuses to job to hhh... it looks like goldberg will be only on sd!... DAMNIT FUCK GOLDBERG!
Guest jester Report post Posted February 9, 2003 My hhhater sense loves the idea of Goldberg refusing to job to hhh, but even I am not that petty to want to see them cough up massive amounts of dough for two shows. He should work a stretch of shows for a few months or not at all. If this is his attitude, sign me up for the Fuck Goldberg Cheering Section.
Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Job Goldielocks to Rock, Austin, Angle, Edge, Benoit, Booker, RVD, Steve Lombardi, Jeff Hardy, whoever. Who cares if he won't job to HHH? That just makes everything a lot funnier.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Goldberg is popular in the mainstream and signing him will get WWE much needed attention. That is the main reason to sign him. I don't get all the Goldberg hate. I thought his matches were always exciting in WCW and he isn't that bad in the ring like everyone says here. Most people hate him because of his attitude not his ring work. Plus he has a tendency to get real stale real quick. His ringwork wasn't that great at all. The excitement came from the way he was pushed and that's not happening in the WWE when or if he comes.
Guest Vyce Report post Posted February 9, 2003 "Fuck that Goldberg! He won't job to HHH or Brock!" You know what I say to that? I say that's the first thing Goldberg has done which has made me like the guy. He shouldn't have to lay down for the FuHHHrer if he doesn't want to.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Goldberg will NOT get a monster push in the WWF. Scott Steiner's "monster push" is over. He's gonna get jobbed out during the remainder of his stay there. Goldberg's "monster push" will only be the push that he gets en route to jobbing to someone. They are WCW guys. WCW guys<WWE guys. Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Like it or not, Triple H has done more for the Business then Goldberg ever did, and Triple H is a Bigger name and a better Worker. If they're stupid enough to sign this idiot for big money and only for a few Appearances, then Goldberg should job to whom ever he is told to. Plus, Goldberg already said he won't work with RVD or any other "Mid-Carders." Which is probably how he looks at Benoit, Angle, Brock, etc. Hmmm, what else is there left to say? Oh Yeah, Fuck Goldberg
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted February 9, 2003 I say bring Goldberg in, have him job to Austin at Mania and Angle at Backlash via the Ankle Lock. Then the next night give him a big FUCK YOU and fire him to shove it down his face and make sure to parade all over TV with it. Hell, it seems Vince wants to screw over the WRONG people (Bret, for one thing)...so why not screw over the MAIN WCW guy? You know, the company you made a joke out of? I think singing their top draw, jobbing him out to the better WWE guys, then firing his ass would be awesome. If they don't do that, then fuck Goldberg. Guest jester Report post Posted February 9, 2003 Goldberg will NOT get a monster push in the WWF. They have to put him at the main event level. He won't accept anything else. And if they sign him for just two shows, they need to make it a big occassion. Finally, the fans who remember him aren't going to want to see him wrestling Nobody #9 like Bob Holly. Hey, that actually might be a good match. Goldberg vs. Holly. They'd both leave the ring in wheelchairs.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted February 9, 2003 At this point I'd be shocked if Goldberg shows up. While (too my knowledge) there's never been a concrete figure reported it has been reported that it's a huge payday for Goldberg. It's not worth paying him to come in and be involved in an angle with Hogan and Rock (which is what was being talked about before) who are both basically part timers now. He won't put anyone over who could benefit from it so it's pointless.
Guest papacita Report post Posted February 10, 2003 They really don't need Goldberg. No one's given a shit about him since 98. Plus he's a fucking egomaniac, and WWE has enough of them already. Forget him.
