Why stroke that tool's ego by giving him an interview? His 'I've been a smart mark since 1986' routine is about as natural as Jeff Hardy's hair color.

Well, speaking of pimping....Adam Ryland, the creator of EWR emailed me to praise my TNA reviews. After asking, he told me that we'll be available as a sponsor in the next version of EWR.

Maybe we can interview you and you can claim to have thought of the TNA brand. You thought the action would excite you because as a kid you enjoyed the psychology aspect of wrestling rather than the entertainment.

regardless of what we may personally think of SK, he does have a book about wrestling on the way. since TSM is primarily a wrestling website, the interview is certainly appropriate, ego-stroking or not.

now if someone would just get dynamite kid on the site i would be a little more excited!

Scott: Allowing my picture to be taken for a publicity shot in 2001 and thus erasing the air of mystery that had built up around me.

Who wants to make the fat joke this time?

Well, I was about too, but it has been done to death.

The EWR deal sounds fucking sweet. Not only because TSM will be hosting the preview, but because that also means that there will be a version 3.0.

Any news on the AS Birthday extravaganza, Dames?

I throw you a party. It'll be the worst time of your life. I suck. My parties suck. Everything sucks. Where's my gun?

I'm actually going to defend Scott somewhat as he's been nothing but helpful to me in my attempts to put a fitting Hennig tribute together

I guess what baffles me the most is how so many people can bash the hell out of SK constantly, yet they're always discussing every little thing he does. Granted the guy comes off as a bit cocky sometimes, but jeez, you all act like the man's writing is garbage or something. I may not be crazy about the guy writing the rants and so forth, but I'll tell you straight up that I read everything he writes because he's still one of the better reviewers out there on the 'net and he writes solid stuff. There aren't many good writers when it comes to those who write about wrestling, and honestly, SK is one of the few who has a distinct style to what he writes, while others are either trying to still find their style or make poor attempts at following someone else's style.

Perhaps I'm wrong here, but it doesn't seem like everyone became such a SK hater until it became the "popular" thing to do in the final months of the Smarks EZBoard. I was one of the first ones to be upset when he made all of the sudden changes on the board, but I got over it, while others seemed to use that as a launching pad for a hatred for SK that remains to this day.

I don't argue that some of you truly dislike SK as a person and writer, but I really think that a lot of you say most of these negative things about him blindly, just because a lot of other people are doing it. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, so perhaps some of you should look into forming your own some day.

Before I end this, I'd just like to ask this- does SK's writing entertain you? Personally, I find it somewhat informative and entertaining, which is why I continue to read his stuff. Now like I stated earlier, there are probably several of you who just don't like his writing or whatever and that's fine. It just strikes me as odd that so many of you seem to hate him because of how he acts, completely ignoring the fact that you should be judging his work, not his traits as a person. So for those of you who hate him, we get it. There's no need to continue to post about how much you hate him, because it's been beaten into the ground. Find something new to say. I just think you sound sort of foolish when you bash the hell out of the guy, yet it's fairly obvious that you read his work on a regular basis.

As for TheSmarks.com closing down, it's not too big of a deal. To me, the site died the day they merged with 411, so it's not like it'll be some big change. Just one less link to click to get to the columns and such that could be found there.

Just kidding. I have nothing against that tubby dude. I don't have to back myself up with why he's good at his job since Bruiser Cheech made that point fine. If I may be allowed a moment to assume the views of some others on this board, I think what we're experiencing with all the Scott Keith talk is not totally bashing as much as it is expressing loyalty to the TSM family. And that's fuckin' cool. Furthermore, if our functioning as a humorous blend of wit, anger, intelligence, and fanaticism comes at the expense of a writer who's no longer so alone at the top of the wrestling website world with the likes of The Dames spitting it type wimsically and others whom I don't necessarily care to mention, then I say "To hell with Scott Keith!"... That's my way of saying: I'm TSM, baby!

:headbang:
