Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted February 11, 2003 As a cost cutting measure, WWE will be pulling back the number of talent, referees, officials, etc. that appear at house shows. What this probably means is that there will be less (tag team) matches at the shows but they will hope to make up for it by sending talent to do more media related work. Some lower level wrestlers will even be allowed to take independent bookings if it doesn't conflict with the WWE schedule. -rajahwwf.com Wow, that goes to show how bad business really is lately. Some wrestlers will be allowed to take indy bookings? I never heard of that before, especially since they're under WWE contracts. Any guesses would that could possibily include? Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 11, 2003 the most efficient way to save $ is to not make anymore stupid commercials/intros for the PPVs. did they really need to have Elvis and king impersonalitors for that one PPV commercial? do the Divas need to go to the Bahamas for a HLA PPV special of them running in bikinis on the beach, I really doubt that the people who order this, really care where they are, all they want to see is some BUTT cheeck or wet t-shirt action. Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted February 11, 2003 The WWE desperately needs to trim the fat. Sure, all of the lower-tier workers need the money, but if you can't hold up your end of the stick, I think the WWE should realize this and release them. People like the Big Show, Nash, and Steiner are guys who aren't worth anything to the WWE or to the fans, so there goes a nice load of wasted cash they get back. Am I the only one who thinks they need to kill the split? Nobody ever bought into it....
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted February 11, 2003 It will be a loooong time before they give up on the split. There are just some things they are hell-bent on making work and I'd say their precious "brand extension" is at the top of that list.

Guest candie45 Report post Posted February 11, 2003 Less talent on house shows? Screw you WWE if I fucking got front row tickets to see Jamal, Rosey, and Test fight 4 times.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted February 11, 2003 Am I the only one who thinks they need to kill the split? Nobody ever bought into it.... So we can have both shows end up like RAW? No thanks.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2003 If you kill the split you can say goodbye to the Smackdown 6. HHH would jump at the idea of being on both shows.
Guest papacita Report post Posted February 11, 2003 I think they'd be better off keeping the split, but it might serve them better if they did joint House Shows.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted February 12, 2003 You can say goodbye to the Smackdown 6 anyway. Angle is doing well. Eddy and Chavo? Where do they go now? Benoit and Edge? They don't have anything either. Rey is making his way to the CW division where he will stay and won't prosper, and you can bet your ass some trades will be made in the near future anyway.
