SWF Superstar of the Month

Yes, this is really late. I wasn't going to finish it, and the blurbs suck, but in the end I decided to go ahead and post it anyway.

SWF SUPERSTAR OF THE MONTH - JANUARY 2003

Judge Mental -- Relative newcomer Judge Mental had a stellar month in January, going undefeated with a 4-0 record. Mental also seized the Hardcore Gamers title with a victory over Michael Craven, and defended it once during the month. Mental has proven a worthy addition to the Magnificent Seven in his few months of SWF activity, though with the focus of attention now on the two newest bumpees to join the stable, Mental will need to keep his momentum going to remain over.

RUNNERS-UP

Frost -- Icelandic powerhouse Frost had another great month, achieving a 3-0 record. His most notable win for the month was perhaps the biggest win of his career, a victory over Orochi to acquire the Intercontinental Television title. Though he didn't win, Frost was a favorite to win the Clusterfuck, and despite internal tensions with Tom Flesher in the Magnificent Seven, Frost's future looks to be a bright one.

Tod deKindes -- The man claiming to be the "sole survivor of X Force 9" notched a 3-0 record in January. Just prior to the Clusterfuck, he scored an impressive win over four other competitors in an Over the Top Rope battle royal match. Tod is a solid midcarder with a lot of potential, despite the fact that Longdogger Pete will likely kill him one day for continuing with the XF9 gimmick!

Danny Williams -- Yes, there are a lot of Magnificent Seven members on this list. The heel stable is loaded with talent, and Danny Williams is no exception, posting a 3-1 record in January. Though he narrowly missed out on the ICTV title in a triple threat with Orochi and Frost, he did win a four corners match including Annie Eclectic, El Luchadore Magnifico, and Tom Flesher. Danny finished Clusterfuck as one of the runners-up, and is a credible challenger to any title in the SWF at any given time.

Way to go, Judge. He certainly deserves it and it is great to see some of the newer guys getting recognition. I hope picking the wrestler of the month becomes a permanent feature as giving as much postive reinforcement as possible helps spur people into writing to the best of their ability.

I also thank LDP for the props in being a runner-up. I was very pleased with my ICTV title win and want to do what I can to be a great champion in elevating the presitge of an already prestigious title.

I honestly don't deserve it half as much as Frost and Danny do. These guys take on perhaps the stiffest competition of them all and are consistantly great writers. Thanks, but there are far more talented people who should get this.

It's all formulaic, Judge. Using my scoring system you had the best month of anyone in the SWF for January.

And I'd imagine, by the way, that the February winner is already locked into place. By the numbers, the Clusterfuck is the most important match of the year...

This is great Pete....I'm gonna make it a part of the website. And if you do one every month, I'll make it a staple part of the website!!

Well, in that case, I will do it every month. It's certainly better than that cheesy top ten list. :)
