Terrorist Attack as soon as this week

I wish I could find the news article I read again but it talked about specific intelligence being found that suggests another terror attack would come this week. I'm inclined to believe it because unlike every other time, the government is all but telling us straight out something will happen and if it does we're screwed. I doubt duct tape will help if a bomb gets dropped and you're blown to pieces and even against chemicals in the air. If something does happen it came at a really bad time, with this Friday being Valentine's and all. I cancelled my plans and I'm staying home.

I'm glad I'm going back home to Bowmanville for Reading Week. Even though there is a nuclear plant nearby, I would feel much safer there than in the capital. It was chaos up here for 911.

Why? Don't let threats of terrorist attacks rule your life; that's part of what the terrorists want. Go out and have fun. Besides, if they drop a big fucking bomb in your area, you're dead whether you're in your basement or out at a restaurant. If we're going to be attacked, we're going to be attacked, and there's no point in putting your life on hold waiting for something that's likely to end up not happening.

That's what I've been telling people back home who are scared.

Live your life the same way and if something happens- it happens.

Nothing you can do about it.

My plans were to go to NY to spend a night in a hotel with some guy I've been talking to. Not the best choice of plans and/or location.

I tend to believe that nothing will come out of these threats. Even if I was concerned, I would be going to the movies tomorrow night anyway. Whatever happens happens and that's that. It's not like any of us could control if a bomb is dropped or not.

They're doing a really good job of scaring the hell out of the country though.

Bah. I'll crawl out of my Valentine's Day stupor on Sat'dy to go see DareDevil, regardless of any percieved terrorist threats.

Sticking with your same routine and not letting these threats is the best middle finger you can give the terrorists. I will not let them deter me. I think I'll see 2 movies this holiday weekend. (Daredevil and Old School to be exact)

Does Old School open Friday? Too bad the theater I'm going to for Daredevil won't be showing it. 2 for the price of 1 if you catch my drift... That is the AMERICAN thing to do. :D

Everyone says life your life which is a good policy but I'm not afraid of dying really. I'm afraid of dying away from my mom. As dumb as that may sound it petrifies me.

I work at a hardware store, we were interviewed about duct tape and plastic sheeting being sold out because people are either: air sealing a room or B: THE WHOLE HOUSE. It is sad, the logic is so going out the window.

If there is an attack, then so be it. If not, then I am not going to care. I rather just be me and not worry about that kind of thing.

Won't they feel stupid when they seal themselves up and forget about that whole air thing.

That whole Duct Tape thing makes ZERO sense.

Except in Alabama where it's uses are unimaginable. You can use it to put a cool chrome look on your car while holding it together.

Very True...

BTW...I just had a thought...If they wanted to make HUGE impact by Killing nearly a million people? What event is taking place this Sunday? Exactly...Almost a Million people will be there...

The Daytona 500. There will be close to an million people there...Alot of Gas...Open Air...Chemicals all around the place...Metals everywhere...

If they fly right into the Gas Chamber...With some sort of Chemical...It could explode and kill A hella lot of people...

EVERYTHING can be fixed with Duct Tape -- I bet some rednecks think that the Twin Towers wouldn't have fallen had it been wrapped in Duct Tape...

By the way, just saw on ABC News that the captured terrorist that told the FBI about this big terrorist attack failed a polygraph test. So they believe the whole story was just a lie now and all this is most likely for nothing. I have a feeling this terrorist owns some stock in duct tape.

Not to sound overly cynical, but as someone who was there during 9/11 and works across the street from the UN, I'll admit, I'm fucking scared.

This is the first time that I've admitted to it, but I work for the Anti-Defamation League, in their World Headquarters. My personal feelings or beliefs have nothing to do with why I work here. To me, it's just a job. We have great security, but I still don't feel comfortable.

There's a large police presence right outside and in Grand Central Station, which is where I take the subway. It's not exactly easing my tension, you know.

I just received an email going around the office from one of the directors here stating that he's received several phone calls regarding the possibility of the National Security Warning Level going up to Red sometime today. Whether or not its true...what can I say, I'm fucking scared.

Remember, kids, if the terrorists drop the bomb, duck and cover.
