The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2003 If I were Rob, this is what I'd do. I'd tell Matt and Butch that the vote is for Christy, while the vote is really for Matt. To "prove his allegiance" to Matt and Butch, he should vote for Christy as well. So, it would go like this... Rob, Matt & Butch vote for Christy Alex, Heidi, Jenna and Christy vote for Matt. Matt's on the jury and Rob can count on him (and eventually Butch) to vote for him on the jury. Christy isn't part of the alliance, so Alex, Heidi and Jenna wouldn't care if she got an extra vote. Rob realizes that if he sticks with the cool person alliance, he'll come in forth place because Alex and Jenna are close, and Heidi is Jenna's pawn. I want Rob to win it all but I think he has no chance if he makes it to the final 2. I think that Matthew will win. I disagree with the proposed plan of Rob getting rid of Matthew and counting on his vote. Rob and Matthew need eachother in the game for them both to stay alive. Jenna and Heidi will go next. Its only logical for Rob to get rid of the "faces" Butch and Christy after that because the jury would vote for them. That leaves Matthew and Rob. Matthew wins because everyone hates Rob. I'm not sure who would be best for him to go into the Final 2 with, but I know it CAN'T be Butch because he hasn't done anything to alienate anyone and would thus get a lot of votes. Butch and Christy are too likable. People would vote for them because they are "good people". Also, the Dave/Alex/Jenna/Heidi faction would vote for one of their own. Thats 3 instant votes against Rob. Deena would vote against Rob most likely as well. That only leaves Matthew. Matthew isn't very well liked. This is the same strategy that Brian used in the Thailand show. He took the least likable to the final two with him. Rob's (or any of the others) best shot is against Jenna. Jenna has 2 sure votes for in Heidi Ho and Alex, and 2 sure votes against in Christy and Deena. Matt and Rob basically pledged their votes to each other this week, so you're left with Butch and Dave as the two "mystery" votes. Rather BIG Spoiler... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Of course, if you read about that Survivor betting fiasco you know who the alleged final two are, so you know that Rob supposedly ain't gonna win. I think that Matthew will win, by going on an immunity run by the time he hits the final four. I would LIKE Rob or Christy to win - Rob because he is playing the game and Christy because, well, she seems very likeable and it be like a big "fuck you" to Twigs and Sticks. The fourth one was good but the final was disappointing. Depending on how it plays out, I think that this one has the potential to be the best Survivor ever. Boooooring. This time around they've struck gold with Rob being a (behind the scenes) shit disturber and alliances consisting of only 2 or 3 people. Rob vs. Butch....Butch really hasn't done anything to GET anyones votes, but Rob will automatically have 3 votes against him from Alex, Heidi & Jenna. Not good for Rob. Rob vs. Christy. Rob has NO chance against a sweet deaf girl who was able to make it all the way to the finals. Rob vs. Matthew. Heidi & Jenna most likely will vote for Matthew based on the skirmish they showed between Jenna and Rob on the preview for next week. Butch would probably vote for Matthew. I could see Alex voting for Rob just because he played the game well and knew that it was his fault for telling him he's out. Deena had an alliance with Rob, so she may vote for him. Dave can go either way because he didn't really know them well. Christy doesn't trust Rob, but Matthew gives her the creeps..... He knew, deep down inside, that while he was sitting at the cool people’s table, he wasn’t actually a cool person. I’m sure he’d deny it til the end of his days, but I really think the reason he swung to the other side is he really didn’t like the arrogance of the three. Rob couldn’t stomach a Jenna/Alex or Jenna/Heidi final two. When Rob spoke that girls like Jenna and Heidi have probably been cruel to Christy throughout her life, Rob was channeling his own life experience (from high school, perhaps?). He know if the situation where reversed and he were on the outside of the cool person alliance, they would have been treating him just as bad. Rob knows he’s an oddball nerd, just like Butch, Christy, and Matt. He belongs with that that group. I definitely think Rob martyred himself for the three misfits. Who I want to win? Christy. This season was supposed to be about the Amazonian Woman, but Mark B. cast seven horrible ladies (Well, Janet wasn’t a horrible person, just dead weight). Joanna turned out to be a religious hypocrite. Jeanne turned out to be a vindictive hag. Shawna was a hormonal mess, not Survivor material, someone that self-centered would have done better on the Real World. Heidi and Jenna, both are despicable, spoiled brats. It turns out Christy is the only decent female out of them all. She’s surviving despite having some real disadvantages at the social aspects of the game. For all the whining Sean R. did in Survivor 4 about how he and Vee were at a disadvantage because of their race, Christy is a real example of being isolated. I imagine she must be very lonely out there. I think Rob wants her to win also. I get the vibe that Rob wants to play the protective older brother role for her. If he can’t win, at least he can choose the winner. It just my speculation, I think Rob wants to make the final two and fall on his sword for Christy. The problem is, getting to the final two when Butch and Matt know what a danger Christy would be. I don’t think she’s going to make it to the end, but of all the females, I think she’s the only one who’s likely to get post-survivor work, probably in her community. Christy is a true Survivor. Who do I think will win? Matt. The guy has quietly become the leader of the tribe. He’s providing food and is the core player in the alliance. Next episode, he starts gaining the respect of his peers. Rob is now dependent on him. Matt is going to cruise to the final two because, no doubt, he’s going to be winning all the immunities. Now it’s only a question of who he makes it there with. Oh, and I think Heidi goes next. She hasn’t gotten much of a story in along time. Just a pawn, Jenna’s little sidekick. One other thing: I would love to see a Rob/Matt final two, even though I don’t think it will happen. It would basically be Dr. Frankenstein vs. Frankenstein’s Monster. When asked on who he thought the best player was up to now, he said Rob. It is not that far-fetched to expect that Alex would vote for Rob or even Matthew. I also think Matthew will win. I seriously didn't go 5 minutes without changing my mind on who was going to get voted out. It went back and forth in my mind between Jenna, Rob and Heidi until the end which I did not see coming in a million years, regardless of what Rob and Heidi said prior to the vote. I'd like to feel bad for Christy but she did something that the last two people who got voted off did- she trusted Rob which we've all learned by now is a no-no. My pick to go home next week: Butch. I'm thinking that Rob, Jenna, Heidi and Matt will just say "Fuck it, let's vote off Butch and then it's every person for themself in the final four." My pick as of this moment to win: Matt. moral suasion 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Good episode. So what's next? I think Rob was on to something when he proposed the Rob/Jenna plan to Jenna. They are each others best chance at winning. Judging from her final words, Jenna now has Christy against her. The best thing Rob can do is bring Jenna and Matthew to the final three and somehow get Jenna the Immunity. Jenna knows she can't beat Matthew because he's a good guy, so she votes him out. To do this, the Rob/Matthew alliance votes out Heidi next, then obviously Butch. That leaves: Alex, Heidi & Dave who vote for Jenna Christy & Matthew & (most likely) Butch voting for Rob Deena is totally the swing vote. Rob can most likely win her over. I think in Deena's mind, Rob is totally the lesser of two evils. This is the same reason that I think BUtch will vote for Rob. It sucks what happened to Christy, though. I'll agree that Rob makes it to the finals but the only person I can see him having any semblence of a chance against is Jenna. Jenna would get votes from Heidi and Dave. Rob would get votes from Alex, Deena, Butch, Matt and Christy. If Rob makes it to the finals he's got at least one basically-guaranteed vote from Alex because Alex said he'll vote in the finals for the person most deserving. Alex is a solid dude and he knows Rob beat him at his own game. If Rob also goes into the finals against Jenna or Heidi he's got a spite vote coming from Christy. Alex's comments on the Early Show were made AFTER his vote. Dames I know, but chances are he wouldn't change his mindset. He may not vote for Rob, but he probably did use that criteria. He would have to be pretty dense to not realize that Rob has been the most manipulative player at this point. He seems to have a similar mindset as I do. I would vote for the player that I felt did the most to beat me. I think the point is moot anyways. Things are going to catch up to Rob before he gets to the final two, possibly as soon as next week. To take a guess I would say that Heidi goes next. Matthew is probably not too open to dumping Butch, and Rob wants to be in the Final Two with Jenna. If he has to betray Heidi, well he knows he's not getting her vote anyways. But he needs Matt's & Butch's votes to win. I have been wrong lots but here is my guess right now. ON THE NEXT EPISODE The Survivors react to Butch's bizarre behavior when he obsessively stacks firewood everywhere throughout the camp. Returning to their camp, the Survivors find devastation after a fire rages through their shelter and belongings, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Believing they are on the chopping block, Jenna and Heidi refuse to help in rebuilding the camp. Will this seal their fate? One Survivor is worn out and sick, and begs to be voted out. Will the others comply? This episode could be the turning point for certain individuals. Matt is almost a given to make it into the finals but I can't say who's going with him for sure. From the preview video on the site it appears Heidi says something to the effect of "Jenna getting voted out works towards my advantage". Then again, Heidi has been resembling a twig as of late and doesn't appear the healthiest of the Final Five. There's always that possibility, but we'll probably never know for sure. All I know is that Rob makes for great television. Boot predictions for the last 2 episodes are the same as Kahran's, but for slightly different reasons: 5) Heidi. note: Acme Braintrust is predicting Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Reward: Butch; Immunity: Rob; Boot: The Ho . The guys gang up and toss the "intelligent" Boobsey twin 4) Rob via the purple rock OF DOOM~! Jenna wins immunity, 2-2 tie between Butch and Matt 3) Butch. Matt wins immunity and, forced to make a decision, chooses the one who isn't very well liked. Votes: Matt: Rob, Butch, Christy, Deanna Jenna: Heidi, Alex, Dave Matt beats Jenna by a 4-3 margin to win Survivor 6.
