Guest tank_abbott Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 How is Will and grace such a commercial success, my god I flipped it on during SD! commercials and the main star (The "homosexual" one) was holding his tea cup limp wristedly, talked with a nasally lisp, and asked Demi Moore to be his babysitter! How does this crap stay on the air??? (Goes back to watching sweaty oiled up men roll around on the mat, fueding over sex caused deaths and corpse raping)
Guest bob_barron Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Are you talking about Will or Jack? Jack is the stereotypical gay gay while Will is more of the "normal" guy who happens to be gay.
Guest tank_abbott Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I was not aware that they were both gay, so I guess it was Jack
Guest razazteca Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I guess its good acting and writing as compared to the other lameass Gay series that never really made it. Like Normal, Ohio and Ellen Degeneras.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Ellen wasn't even supposed to be gay. Just cause she is gay doesn't mean her character has to be. That's kinda stupid.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Ellen DeGeneres played a lesbian on 'Ellen' and 'The Ellen Show' (the show she did on CBS) Normal, Ohio was just stupid
Guest razazteca Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 the last season of the Ellan show on ABC she became a lesbian, I was a fan of the show's 1st few seasons especially when they were at the bookstore but the Lesbian stunt just screwed up everything and showed how bad the writing was.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 At first it was a Seinfeld clone and wasn't too bad. But the lesbian storyline killed the show
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 It didn't kill the show -- you are just a homophobe. Just like that Margaret Cho show that got canned -- we were racist to unfunny sitcoms with starring roles by Asian-American women...
Guest TheGame2705 Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Both dudes on Will & Grace are gay?! Then where does Grace get hers?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Hey now, I actually enjoyed All-American Girl. Then again, I watched that and Phenom back in the day, so I have no taste.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Both dudes on Will & Grace are gay?! Then where does Grace get hers? Harry Connick, Jr. She married Connick on the show. He's a doctor and his apparently out of town. I thought Karen really had that high pitched voice.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I don't know when the last time was that I watched a first-run sitcom episode.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 "Hey now, I actually enjoyed All-American Girl." So YOU were the one that watched it...
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 At first it was a Seinfeld clone and wasn't too bad. But the lesbian storyline killed the show I thought it was marginally humorous until the whole "coming out" thing. Then not even Bruce Campbell (aka THE MAN) could save it. EVERY EPISODE became about Ellen's struggle to be accepted as a gay woman. It sounded like a friggin after school special put on repeat.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Will and Grace are both annoying as hell. Jack and Karen and the hispanic maid are funny as hell.
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Both dudes on Will & Grace are gay?! Then where does Grace get hers? By watching the two gays, of course! We're talking about gay shows and noone has mentioned Queer as Folk? Oh, wait, I just did.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Argh i agree about Ellen. It wasn't a bad show the first few seasons, but the show became totally unfunny after she made it into "hey I'm gay and proud look at me".
Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Jack is the sterotypical "wacky" offbeat character in the vein of Kramer, Matthew on Newsradio, French Stewart's character on Third Rock, ect just so happens that this time the character is actually gay rather than just "quirky" with a close to flaming nature. Will is the "Jerry Seinfeld" (the character not the real one) type character who is actually out rather than being "Yeah that guy's probably gay" Basically normal, only very neat and neurotic Steve
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Jack isn't really that much of a "stereotype". There are some gay guys who act like him. Obviously not all of them are that flamboyant, but they aren't all conservative either.
Guest What? Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Who cares? Will and Grace sucks anyway. "Jack, I want you to be my childs godfather.....or, I guess...Fairy Godmother!" BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAaaaaaa.....I would rather watch "Yes, Dear" then that pile of shit.
