No Way Out

With the shitty state of WWE, we've all been pretty negative lately, so I am going to post my niave hopes for NWO.

 

We've got a card with Steiner/HHH and Taker/Show on it. That's enough to drive us all to drink, but consider this. Those two matches have the potential to be WMOTY candidates...if they let them go on long. Which they probably won't.

 

Steiner gets gassed walking down to the ring, HHH is coming off yet another injury and hasn't wrestled in a month. He isn't going to be able to carry Steiner.

 

Big Show also has a bad back, and Taker is...well, Taker.

 

So this probably means that both matches will have to be over quickly. There's a high probability of run-ins for quick DQ finishes. And if the matches have to be over quickly, that means more time for guys who can actually wrestle.

 

So maybe I'm deluding myself here, but if they have any sanity they have to prolong the six-man, maybe even Kidman/Hardy.

 

Or, maybe they could give the extra time to HHH to cut a promo.

 

C'mon WWE. Do it right for a change.

Assuming that I'm not paying, I'm all for WMOTY canidates. Two on one show would be classic.

 

Anyway, the matches will be short, but I'm afraid the extra time will be used on mega exciting Evolved Horse beatdowns.

Kidman/Hardy going 15 minutes would be pretty bad, IMO. Neither guy is really cut out for matches that long, so keep it around the 8-10 range and they'll be fine.

I say spend 15 minutes of Steiner beating down the entire Evolution crew, one by one.

That'll compensate for the short matches.

you know, i never really took the time to think about how much the NWO card sucks until today. this will probably surpass even KOR 2002. that six-man better be at canadian stampede-like levels of greatness.

wrestling wise it will suck.. unless the 6 man and cruiserweights get good time... it should be pretty entertaining moreso though... yes taker/show will bring a snore unless there is some kind of big bump... hhh/steiner will also suck... i never understood if the wwe knows that the match will suck so they give it less time... why have it at alll... but anyway entertainment wise.. it should be pretty good... austin/bischoff will be entertaining.. as will rock/hogan... two good matches.. two potential entertainiing matches.. and the rest are snoozes hhh/stenier might be entertaining if they kill each other off this time... so half the card will suck.. half will be pretty good.. thats the wwe for ya...

I think the emotion level of having Austin, Rock, and Hogan there will elevate the show above KOTR 2002, even if the wrestlin sucks.

There's really no reason the six-man should get enough time considering how much time they've given these combo of guys, unless someone's trying to spite Angle.

 

Cruiser match should be pretty generic. Whether that translates into seomthing good or decent will be hard to say.

 

Test vs. Jericho could be a smartly laid out match but I'm sure the team is a lot more focused on the top three matches.
