JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2003 I recently saw CZW Best of the Best 2 and I thought it was an awesome show, so now that Best of the Best 3 is just around the corner I was wondering how all of you would book the show. Also who would you book in the Trifecta Elimination tournament and in non-tournament matches on the card. This will be pretty interesting to find out what all of you think would be the best possible card.

I booked BOTB3 as a sort of ROH invasion type thing. Gabe Sapolsky (I fucked up his name didn't I) posted something on RF's site hinting at some sort of involvement with BOTB3 so I booked it as an invasion. Probably wouldn't happen but it would be cool to see.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Report post Posted February 19, 2003 First Round: Sonjay vs. Briscoe vs. Cash - Sonjay beats Cash Rave vs. Mamaluke vs. Justice - Mamaluke over Justice GQ vs. B-Boy vs. Lil' Cholo - Cholo over GQ Kashmere vs. Acid vs. Mondo - Mondo over Acid Second Round: Sonjay over Briscoe (gives Sonjay more legitimacy) Rave over Mamaluke B-Boy over Cholo Mondo over Kashmere Semis: Sonjay over Rave B-Boy over Mondo (this gives Mondo two wins over HIV in one night, but it sets up a match for next month between Boy and Mondo so that Mondo "proves himself") Finals: Sonjay over B-Boy (Sonjay now has a victory over an ROH guy, a former NWA World Jr. Champ/guy who's appeared on TNA, and a member of the biggest stable in the company)

Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted February 21, 2003 They should cut the number of entrants to 8. This would allow for longer matches, and would mean the crowd is less likely to get burned out. Plus, having a bunch of 3 ways on the same night, not only kills the idea, it also makes it meaningless

Chunk 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Im hyped for BOTB3 in a big way. Ive seen 1 & 2 and really liked them. I also here that ROH are running the same day, so anyone lucky enough to be going to BOTB can also check out ROH. You lucky lucky gits. I would like to see Paul London do well, and I would like to see the two FWA guys come back (Flesich and Storm). But its bound to be a CZW guy that wins. ChUnK! JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 I doubt we see Jonny Storm return since he's been working in XPW for the past month. Justice, Jerrelle Clark, and Steve Madison have been announced for the Trifecta Elimination tournament.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 I could definitely see Jody Fleisch entering and probably winning the Trifecta Elimination tournament.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 So could I, expect that Fleisch is on vacation during BOTB3, and would make the auto-entry into BOTB3 worthless. I think we'll see Fleisch back sometime, just not soon. (And by soon, I mean the next couple months.)
PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 I read somewhere that Jody is on vacation or something that day and won't make this year's Best of The Best... Sucks because he stole the show last year.
Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted February 23, 2003 yeah it sucks that jodie probably wont be there. well guess someone else will have to steal the show. the first was the briscoes second was fleisch/storm wonder who will steal it this year.(zandig really needs to hire better security people always stealing his shows)
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 I got a weird feeling that this Justice guy just might. Either that or B-Boy vs. Lil' Chulo, since we all know that it will be a semi-final matchup.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 Justice could very well steal the show this year, but I'm going to have to wait until I see the rest of the participants before I make that decision.
Chunk 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 Where did you guys hear about Jody beig on holiday during the show? I really would have liked to have seen him on the show again. Im a big fan of his, and it was so sweet seeing him get a bigger pop than the CZW guys last year. If Jody isnt there, then I would like to see Paul London go all the way. How do you fancy his chances? People talk abot 2003 being his year, BOTB3, would be a good way to start it off. ChUnK!
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 I could see Paul London being in it and most likely being the MVP of the tournament. If he does enter the tournament he probably has the best chance to win.
Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted February 23, 2003 I really don't think there's much of a chance of London being in the tournament. If there is an ROH guy in the tournament, it'll probably be CM Punk. Here's how the field will probably look: CZW guys Chris Cash B-Boy Sonjay Ruckus Ric Blade Nick Berk Outsiders Jimmy Rave Tony Mamaluke Justice Jerelle Clark (invite if he impresses at the Trifecta) CM Punk Lil' Cholo Not quite as impressive a field as the previous two years, but it should still be a killer show. I also think it'll be a Sonjay/B-Boy final, but I unlike Sandman, I think B-Boy will go over, to further strengthen the Hi-V stable. Edit: Now it's 12. Damn three-way dance format had me thinking more were there.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 That's 16 bud, as far as we know, it's still 12 man tourny.
