I would book a very simple but YOUNG and UPCOMING tournament.

First Round-

Paul London vs Michael Shane (TWA v TWA)

- Paul London via Shooting Star Press in 8:00

Jay Briscoe vs BJ Whitmer

- Jay Briscoe via J Driller in 9:00

Homicide vs Ghost Shadow

- Homicide via Cop Killa in 9:00

Bobby Quance vs Mark Briscoe

- Bobby Quance in 10:00

Interview segment to set up 6 man tag later in the night

Paul London vs Jay Briscoe

- Paul London via SSP in 13:00

Homicide vs Bobby Quance

- Bobby Quance in 15:00 via flash cradle

6 man tag: Xavier/Lo-Ki/Christopher Daniels v AJ Styles/Red/American Dragon

FINALS

Paul London vs Bobby Quance

- London via SSP in 17:00 to win the tournament.

Good, but I'd toss Quance and Briscoe #2 for Sonjay Dutt and Jimmy Rave.

Quance needs a national tournament like Super 8 to break out. He just doesn't get the exposure he needs wrestling in the a garage twice a month. IMO he was probaly the rookie of the year in California for 2002. Apparantly he's training in the NJPW dojo so I think he's ready for big things(like London) in 2003.

First Round:

London/Red (London goes over established ECWA guy, gets over with their regular marks)

Ace Steel/CM Punk (Punk goes over trainer to get crowd familiar with him)

Quiet Storm/Super Dragon (Dragon goes over)

Jason Cross/Slim J (Cross goes over, but both get over due to awesome performance)

Semis

London/Punk (London over Punk, Punk acts all heelish after the match to show foresight to the future)

Cross/Dragon (Cross over Dragon)

Finals:

London over Cross, but after-match goes against Super 8 tradition and ends in an angle, with Punk jumping London

I agree. Make those changes, (or perhaps just get rid of briscoe #2 if you want to give Quance a chance - not that I dislike Marc) and that would make an awesome show.

That's the whole point of Super 8 to establish new stars(just ignore 2002 and Donovon Morgon, though it was a break out performance for AJ Styles)

Just the tourney

ROUND 1

-Paul London over Trent Acid

-Jody Flecish over Matt Striker

-American Dragon over BJ Whitmer

-Jason Cross over Reckless Youth

ROUND 2

-Paul London over Jody Flecish

-Jason Cross over American Dragon (cause you need an upset)

I'm a huge mark for Punk and Cabana...but even though they put Morgan over last year, I like this being a jr heavyweight tournament.

It's not really a jr heavyweight tournament...but that's what most people look at it as.

Considering your picks still suck, Reckless Youth was in the 2001 version.

But at least you somewhat got the joke.

I could see Youth going over...he's a longtimer there and he's never won it. Plus let's face it, his better days are behind him and he's not getting any younger. Maybe a going away present.

Quick recap of past winners:

1997: Ace Darling

1998: Lance Diamond

1999: Steve Bradley (filling in for the injured Youth)

2000: Chris Daniels

2001: Low Ki

2002: Donovan Morgan
