I keep telling you, WWE needs Russo back and back NOW. I know your Big Brother or whatever has programmed you to hate him, but face facts: he pushed Kanyon, Hurricane, Booker, Jericho (when he left his WWF push cooled off and he jobbed to Chyna), Dustin, and others, and he'd do it again. Russo doesn't have complete control of writing the entire TNA product, which he did in WCW. This kind of watered-down Russo in the WWE could definitely work. He would still have to answer to, say, Paul Heyman or whoever. Therefore, completely shitty ideas that would ruin peoples careers will not go ahead, but his good ideas for pushing wrestlers like Kanyon would be a big help to their careers.

Russo didn't really advance many careers. When some of the older faces disappeared from TV, he slapped silly gimmicks on other workers, some new and some old, to take their places.

 

Some were able to make it work. Some weren't.

 

Kanyon got to be a DDP impersonator and took huge bumps. He wasn't elevated though.

 

Booker's push and title win was one of the few good things Russo did. However, let me give you this food for thought:

 

He wanted to push Tank Abbot to the main event and give him a "big money" fued with Goldberg. Yup. Mr. Devasting Right Hand himself. Who thrilled us with matches like the Skins Match with Big Al and segments such as when he gave a bland tough-guy promo and ripped Mark Madden's shirt off.

 

He made a few, a FEW wise choices, but for every step forward he made he took 3 giant steps backward.
