Guest Shanghai Kid Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 The word for today, is "PAIN"!
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 You know, I think Booker T did as much for the black community as Booker T. Washington... SUCKA!
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I just have one question, what is the difference between "rap" and "hip-hop?" So do I sit here with my thumb in my ass, trying to figure out this?
Guest Vyce Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 10 most important Black men in history, I stand by it. If you really knew about the situation, you might agree. That odd sound you're hearing now? It's Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Frederick Douglass, and many, many more spinning like motherfucking tops in their graves. Nelson Mandela is doing cartwheels too, and he ain't even DEAD yet.
Guest Brian Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Rap is commercial to the fullest, but when it's not watered down like it is nowit's basically the music: spoken work to a beat. Hip Hop engulfs a whole set of things: music, graffiti, DJ's, turntables, breakdancing, and music.
