Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted February 18, 2003 I would say Tony Schiovonie.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted February 18, 2003 Wrestler: Shawn Michaels. He did a complete headstand, flipping over to his stomach from a punch from Sid at 96 Survivor Series. Non-Wrestler: Either Tony or Vince.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted February 18, 2003 I always liked the way that Rock flipped around after taking a Stunner. His selling at WrestleMania XV really sticks out in my mind, though.
Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Mr Oversell Curt Hening wins that title. Rocky is up there. And lets not forget get Dynamite Kid when it came to back working...oh, nevermind. For non wrestlers: Vince, Tony, and Bobby The Brain.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Definatly The Rock and Shane-o-Mac.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Shane O was so funny when he oversold. There was an episode of SmackDown (in 2001?) where Rock slapped Shane; he launched himself over the ropes, out of the ring, and into the announcers. He landed right in their laps... Ah, that was great.

Guest bravesfan Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Royal Rumble 1989. Curt Hennig. Class is in session, my friends. Curt SOLD like there was no tomorrow. He sold for Shawn Michaels's punches like he was taking Hogan's punches. I distinctly remember him taking a Andre headbutt (while holding the top rope), and he did a backflip, landing on his chest, as well as doing a "Rock selling the stunner" bump when he got kicked by Andre. Guest Si82 Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Curt Hennig.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2003 I also have to go with Curt Hennig. At KOTR '93 (not sure if it was the first round against Mr. Hughes or in the Semi's with Bret), there was a spot where he was irish whipped hard into the corner and he did a forward flip, held his back and was just screaming in pain. I know he has a bad back, but come on? A forward flip? Dames
Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Overall it has to be Curt (I'll never forget those twisting clothesline bumps ) but for one particular sell job I'd have to go with D-Von's epileptic fit
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 At SS91 Curt sold a hip-toss by Hart by flying onto his sotmach and flipping to the post crotch first. That was awesome.
Guest papacita Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I'd say Curt, although Rock and Shawn are up there with him. Honorable Mention to Tommy Dreamer...I saw him get hit with either a a trashcan or a Singapore cane once and he rolled around on the ground flopping and quivering for a good minute and a half. That was the funniest over-sell I've ever seen.
Guest wrestlingfanatic Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Henning or Flair
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Referees.... they're alwyas down for an hour just when someone runs into them or just barely knocks them over.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted February 23, 2003 Does Bela Lugosi in Bride of The Monster count? Hey, you did say "not only wrestlers" didn't ya!?
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted February 23, 2003 Well, 2002 world champion shawn michaels was knocked out from an rvd bodypress, which is depressingly lame. Hennig is the ultimate, especially with that back injury at summerslam91.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Even though he is stupid, and sucks, we can't forget Rikishi, when he is clotheslined.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted February 25, 2003 yes, that's rikishi's one contribution to the history of wrestling. The Fat Samoan Jannetty Clothesline Sell.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted February 25, 2003 Hogan tends to oversell fat guys, especially Earthquake, but it was pretty cool.
Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted February 25, 2003 The Rock and Curt Hennig are definitely two of the biggest oversellers in the business, but sometimes it's cool to see what kind of ridiculous sell they can (or could in Hennig's case - RIP) come up with. Guest papacita Report post Posted February 25, 2003 Even though he is stupid, and sucks, we can't forget Rikishi, when he is clotheslined. I remember once he did the oversell to a WEAK Chyna clothesline. That was funny. I also liked Jannetty's sell when IRS hit him with his flying clothesline once. That looked sick. Guest Midnight Express83 Report post Posted February 25, 2003 The Rocker's duble summersault closeline ruled....One time Eaton took a punch and flipped over in the corner to crouch himself.
Guest The_Radical Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Curt Hennig was the greatest at overselling without making it look stupid or lame. He put a lot of guys over with his selling ability. Honourable mentions go to Arn Anderson (see Wargames 1987) and The Rock. The Radical has spoken.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Flair's overselling is great, because you hear deafening screams of "AHHH!! GOD! MY BACK!!" And of course, Hennig is your overselling God.
