LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2003 If you were running the WWE and only one of these guys could win the WWE or World Title in 2003 besides HHH, The Rock, Brock and Austin who would you choose between these guys: 1) Chris Benoit 2) Chris Jericho 3) Booker T 4) RVD 5) Kane Remember, you only have 1 choice. Whos' the most deserving? I would personally pick Benoit because he's over now and he's busted his ass for a long long time.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Beniot He's my personal favorite and he deserves a good title reign.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Benoit. I don't even like him much, but he deserves it the most.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Wow, tough choice. You got 3 out of 4 of my favorite wrestlers there...but I say Benoit. I would love to see Benoit win a title this year, but really, almost all those guys could realistically get one.
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Chris Benoit.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted February 19, 2003 I'd give Kane the World Title to continue sending Raw down the shitter.
Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Chris Benoit...he's the only one who can showcase the importance of the Title again by putting on 4* plus matches day in and day out ala Bret and SCSA when they held it. The better the matches involving the Title Holder, the more important the Belt becomes. That's how it always was with me anyways.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted February 19, 2003 I really question why Kane is on that list. *shrug* Kane and Jericho have both had title runs. However, Kane didn't deserve his and thankfully it was only a day. Jericho was just holding the belt for HHH. Jericho said he's really accomplished everything he wants in wrestling... RVD sucks at promos, Booker T needs a new finisher and needs to be taken a little more seriously. All of the above are damaged goods, however... Benoit right now is over enough that he has a convincing chance of winning the title, is arguably the best wrestler in WWE, and deserves it the most in my opinion. How about making it a little more even? Besides Benoit, which of the following SD guys--same question: 1) Edge 2) Eddy Guerrero 3) Rey Mysterio 4) Albert (hey, Vince thinks so)
Guest JHawk Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Benoit. Hell, he's been announced as champion three different times and none of them are actually official. Let's give him one that counts.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 19, 2003 I want Booker T to become the 6 time 6 time 6 time 6 time 6 time 6 time World Champ
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Eddy or Rey I'd lean towards Eddy just for how well he's overcame his demons and how hard he's worked since being rehired.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted February 19, 2003 I want Booker T to become the 6 time 6 time 6 time 6 time 6 time 6 time World Champ Build him up and give him a better finisher, and you have my #2 choice.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Besides Benoit, which of the following SD guys--same question: 1) Edge 2) Eddy Guerrero 3) Rey Mysterio 4) Albert (hey, Vince thinks so) Hell no for A-Train. I don't think that Rey could be taken seriously (not because of his size, but because he loses so many matches). Allright, then it's narrowed down to two. Close call, but I'll say Edge. I bet you're all surprised, eh?
Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Harlem Hangover or Bookend
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted February 19, 2003 We'd mostly say Benoit on SD--but if not him or the current champion, I'd also say Edge. I hate him, but he's the most credible in fans' eyes and he is over. Although not for long if the current burial continues.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Yeah, i love the Harlem Hangover.....why cant he just use that. He used it against the Big Show a few months back. I understand why he cant use the bookend because of the Rock. Or how about a top rope scissor kick. That would be pretty cool
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Harlem Hangover or Bookend Problem: Book End is too similar to Rock's move, and a top rope finisher for main eventers are kinda rare, as I don't think WWE likes to push those moves. Likely they'd make him change since the Scissor Kick should not be a finisher.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 19, 2003 4) Albert (hey, Vince thinks so) Does Vince really want Albert has champ. If he did why doesn't he just put the belt on him. As for the original question Benoit is one I'd most like to see.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted February 19, 2003 A top rope scissor kick would cause way too much stalling by the opponent (as if the regular one doesn't already) I could see Booker adding a sit out variation to the old 110th street slam and using that as a finisher, it'd be pretty impactful. I'd like to see Benoit win the World Title, but I can almost guarantee he will soon, so if I had to pick one guy that I knew would get the title, it would be Eddy because of all he has overcome and his awesome ability he's showcasd last year. This guy is just awesome to me, and I'd like to see him be a Benoit like character right now and have a strong 5 month reign before losing the title to a credible challenger. (NOT holding the belt for someone [transitional champ])
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Hmmm... a new finish for Booker T? How about using the Harlem sidekick? It sure looks like it hurts when he catches anybody just right with it. Hell, it could even tie in with the Spineroonie as he could pop up afterwards after the big face comeback, pop the crowd with the Spineroonie, and then hit the sidekick for the pin. BTW, my choice is Booker T with runner-up being Edge.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2003 He used to use the spinaroonie to lead tot he harlem sidekick all the time in WCW....it looked pretty damn cool too
Guest JMA Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Chris Benoit for the Smackdown! brand. Booker T for the RAW brand.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted February 19, 2003 He used to use the spinaroonie to lead tot he harlem sidekick all the time in WCW....it looked pretty damn cool too Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. That was always pretty cool when he did it and it'd be a pretty sweet finishing sequence.

Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Benoit of course. When was the 3rd time he was announced as champion? I remember against The Rock at Fully Loaded 00 then in the 4-way at Unforgiven 00. But when was the other time? Oh and what's wrong with the Axe Kick!? It put The Game away! Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Chris Benoit. After hearing about the multiple standing ovations he has received just for putting on a hell of an effort in his matches, he deserves it. The fans are recognizing his amazing skills and the fans want to see a true Champion who has great work ethic (i.e. Bret, Austin, Angle).
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Harlem Hangover or Bookend Problem: Book End is too similar to Rock's move, and a top rope finisher for main eventers are kinda rare, as I don't think WWE likes to push those moves. Tell that to RVD. Oh wait... you said main eventers.

BTW, my choice is Booker T with runner-up being Edge. As long as HBK is around, Raw guys can't use Superkicks, and the Harlem Sidekick is pretty close to one. Does Vince really want Albert as champ. If he did why doesn't he just put the belt on him. Because he wants Brock/Angle at Wrestlemania. Brock is the #1 priorty golden boy to Vince right now.
