Mecha Mummy Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Does anyone have the match against Skip that Barry Horowitz actually won?
Guest Caliban Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 ahhh... memories. I remember thinking Horowitz was going to win, because the announcers were paying more attention to the match than they would any usual jobber match... my smarkiness was beginning to fester!
Mecha Mummy Posted February 20, 2003 Author Report Posted February 20, 2003 tank, if you can find it, please tell me.
Guest RedJed Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I have it too in one of my WWF Highlights and Matches comp tape at my site.
Mecha Mummy Posted February 21, 2003 Author Report Posted February 21, 2003 Which one? I might get it and the Wrestlecrap tape.
Guest wrestlingfanatic Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 They show highlights from the match on summerslam 95
Guest dpac Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 didnt horowitz beat skip twice, once on superstars and once at summerslam?
cawthon777 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 didnt horowitz beat skip twice, once on superstars and once at summerslam? If you want to get technical, he actually beat him 3 times. 1) Superstars where he pinned Skip with a cradle as Skip was doing push-ups 2) a few weeks later when Skip said Horowitz couldn't last 10 minutes in the ring with him. He did last 10 minutes and, according to the rules, won the bout. 3) Summer Slam
Guest RedJed Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Which one? I might get it and the Wrestlecrap tape. I believe it's on #12.......possibly #13 though. I could check to make sure if you wanted a copy, email me if you are interested. My addy is at the site.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 I marked maked my ass off when that happened. They came up with some retarded statistic like "that was Barry's first win in over 9,000 matches"...or something equally as dumb. Was he under any kind of contract? Cause he was always on, but not the kind of guy you have to run out and sign.
Mecha Mummy Posted February 24, 2003 Author Report Posted February 24, 2003 I think Horowitz was probably under contract. He even had a few vignettes and whatnot. (Like at RR 96 when he talked about why he could possibly win the Rumble match)
