Guest MrRant Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I was at Walmart yesterday and I'm sure everyone knows they have like a $5.99 or so bin of DVD's. Boy was I amazed when I say both the Iron Eagle DVD and the Rambo: First Blood Part 2 SE (the silver case one) for only $5.99. Both of those got snatched up. I plan on watching Iron Eagle tonight since it ownz all of you.
Guest wrestlingfanatic Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I just bought like 10 out of that bin. Falling Down No Escape Ready to Rumble and some others Great Deals
Guest razazteca Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Jackie Chan First Strike was there also, good deals, you know its funny that KMart is going out of business with clearance close out sales yet Wal Mart still has better selection and prices.
Guest Eagan469 Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I just bought like 10 out of that bin. Falling Down No Escape Ready to Rumble and some others Great Deals Falling Down is out on DVD! Holy shit! *runs to Wal-Mart*
Guest Zack Malibu Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Just got Suicide Kings (again) for $5.88. I say again because it was actually the first DVD I ever bought (for the price of $7.98) 3 years ago, but I foolishly let someone borrow it, and never saw it again.
Guest Lethargic Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I got Pump Up The Volume, Pee Wee's Big Adventure and Innocent Blood which turned out to be full screen so that one is useless. Our bin didn't have any of the stuff you guys got. All ours had was a bunch of bullshit direct to video Jan Michael Vincent or Lorenzo Lamas action movies.
Guest wrestlingfanatic Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 got future sport as well.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I haven't been to Wal-Mart in a while, but I picked up some sweet deals at the mall (FYE & Suncoast) I went on a Kiefer Sutherland craze once season TWO of 24 started, so most of what I picked up has him in it. - Freeway $6.99 DVD (Kiefer & Reese Witherspoon. One of the funniest fucking movies I've ever seen in my life) - The Killing Time $4.99 DVD(Kiefer and people I've never heard of. Not bad, probably a good "Weekend Movie" on some cheesy local channel) - Flatliners $4.99 VHS(Kiefer, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon. I love this movie. Always have.) There's some random other shit that I'd have to look for in order to remember. But, my total for 5 DVD's and 6 VHS tapes was only around $120. Some good stuff in there.
Guest TonyJaymzReloaded Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I love walmart, thats where i get all my dvds
Guest TonyJaymzReloaded Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Hey Zach, be sure to check out my Suicde Kings dvd review this weekend, going up on TSm either saturday or sunday
Guest bravesfan Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Pee Wee's Big Adventure Damn! 3 weeks ago, I saw it on the shelf (for 6.99!), but I neglected it since I already picked up Office Space and a few others DVD's. THE NEXT DAY, it was gone. I did get The Best of The Chris Rock Show: Volume Two for 7.99 though...funny shit.
Guest tank_abbott Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I bought Pee Wee Big Adventure for 18.95 at Best Buy...2 weeks later Wal-mart had it for 5.88...I was quite pissed
Guest Flyboy Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Fuck Wal-Mart and their shitty "ID checking" on Rated R movies. Fuck them to hell.
The Dames Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 FUCK! I need a Walmart around here. Dames
Guest Dmann2000 Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I picked up Casualties of War for 5.88 and Diner for 5.00 Didn't see Pee Wee's Big Adventure, but Casualties made up for that. 6 friggin bucks!
Guest Zack Malibu Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I've also gotten Innocent Blood. Oh, and one time they had a TON of Roger Corman flicks and karate movies on VHS and DVD, so I grabbed Tiger Claws 3, Under Oath (really good cop movie) and Last Resort (cheesy 80's comedy with Charles Grodin, Jon Lovitz, Phil Hartman). Those were $4.88 for DVD! On VHS, I wound up getting the ENTIRE Bloodfist series, Black Scorpion 1 and 2, Capitol Conspiracy (another Don Wilson flick), Black Belt 1 and 2, Carnosaur 1, 2, and 3, and a kids movie for my cousin called The Skateboard Kid. All those VHS were $3.33 each! God Bless the bargain bin.
Guest TonyJaymzReloaded Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 The Skateboard Kid! Shit dude, that movies so cool..leats it was when I was a kid. The seguel sucked though. Oh and I picked up Diner for 5 bucks, then the next day went to Blockbuster, where they are selling it for 15. Blockbuster sucks..except when they're doing their whole Buy 2 pre owned, get one free
cawthon777 Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 The day after Christmas, I picked up Pee Wee's Big Adventure and National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon in the "2 for $10" DVD bin.
Guest godthedog Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 i wish i had money to blow on multitudes of cheap dvd's. i also wish walmart had a better selection, so that i didn't have to go crawling to borders (which completely buttfucks you on dvd's) everytime i wanted something.
The Dames Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Fuck...there's none in the city. Dames
Guest MDH257 Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I've gotten Liberty Heights and Singles (now I've got every movie Cameron Crowe has directed) for $5 and Best of the Chris Rock show Vol.2 for $7.99
Guest bravesfan Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 i also wish walmart had a better selection, so that i didn't have to go crawling to borders (which completely buttfucks you on dvd's) everytime i wanted something. Ain't that the truth. Borders is my only source for WWE DVD's, and they've completely jacked up the prices so that no sane person would want them ($24.99!).
Guest evenflowDDT Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 i also wish walmart had a better selection, so that i didn't have to go crawling to borders (which completely buttfucks you on dvd's) everytime i wanted something. Ain't that the truth. Borders is my only source for WWE DVD's, and they've completely jacked up the prices so that no sane person would want them ($24.99!). The sad thing is, that's not a "jacked up" price at all, it's MSRP. The majority of Border's, Suncoast's, and any retail chain's titles are MSRP, which is why they're so godly expensive. I almost had a heart attack when I got ahold of my very longly anticipated copy of Kino's Metropolis and saw a $29.99 price tag!
Guest MaxPower27 Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I just buy whatever comes out new at Suncoast. $16.99 PLUS a free Hogan bobblehead. I ran over the bobblehead with my car. It was worth $16.99 just for that. I found a few ECW DVD's at a flea market going for 10 bucks each. Unfortunately, I didn't have any money.
Guest TheCynicalHateMongerFromHell Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I got Wm 16 WM 17 Summerslam Unforgiven No Mercy Rebellion all for 6.99 DVD
Guest tank_abbott Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Dames...How is it possible you have NO Wal-mart near you? I live in Bumfuck,Wisconsin and have like 6+ in a 50 mile radius! And Casualties of War for 6 bucks DAMN!
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 My Wal-Mart had a bunch of Anchor Bay titles on sale for $8.00 Canadian, including Link, Fade to Black, Def-Con 4, Alice Sweet Alice, Hell Comes to Frogtown and other B-movie goodness.
Guest Flyboy Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Fuck...there's none in the city. We have like 4 in our city.
Guest razazteca Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Hell Comes to Frog Town is a classic in Roddy Piper goodness. no Wal Mart in NYC? how is that possible? I bet there are some in NJ
