Guest Redhawk Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Maybe it'll happen before Wrestlemania and maybe after, but I still think Goldberg will be wrestling in WWE before this year is over. Maybe it'll be for just a month or so (as will probably be the case with Scott Steiner) and maybe it'll be for a long time. Either way, how would you --given the book -- use Goldberg? Guest Human Fly Report post Posted February 21, 2003 If you've got him for a limited time then you have him go on a jobbing tour. It'd be great to job him to Jericho and people like that but you've got to be realistic. First match I'd set up is Austin v. Goldberg. That is THE money match. Don't have Goldberg wrestle any before this (at least not a high profile match) and certainly don't have him job. He will lose clean to Austin. Goldberg isn't really going to put anyone over, he's just here to make money, so I'm trying to make as much as possible. So my next Goldberg match I set up is Goldberg v. Rock. Rock might leave next month, but this is the money match behind Goldberg v. Austin. If Rock is leaving then I consider putting Goldberg over Rock. If you job him twice in a row then after that he is pretty useless as the marks will catch on that he is only around for one reason. Hopefully you bargain and by getting Rock to job for Goldberg you get Goldberg for another month and another job. The last match I set up with Goldberg is against either Brock or Angle. Questionable whether Goldberg would lay down for either of these two so if he won't you go on to the next option which would be whatever gets you the most money. Either a rematch with one of the above (maybe have Rock get his job back if he's sticking around) or (and this match would suck) have him lose to 'Taker. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I'd just rather they not bring any other huge names in right now...they have too many main event guys and too many guys who are just one good push away from main event. They seem to get guys with one feud in mind...then not know what to do with them. They've already ran out of ideas for Steiner.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I wouldn't be surprised to see another Goldberg/Hogan match. And you know HHH will be pushing Vince for a match with him. Hopefully Goldberg and HHH would start "shooting" and end up injuring each other.
Guest Brian Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Have Bret Hart kick him in the head really hard while running full speed.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted February 21, 2003 or just have Goldberg wrestle HHH and Taker till he puts THEM out for good. While he's at it he should constantly wrestle Rikishi, A-Train, and Big Show too.
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Goldberg who????????????Besides WCW marks nobody else gives 2 shits about this no talent spoiled locker room cancer.
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted February 21, 2003 They shouldn't. See the Steiner precedent regarding former WCW main eventers.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Handcuff him to the ropes and have someone with a stiff kick (Regal, maybe?) kick him in the head repeatedly while saying "Oops." after everyone.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Actually comparing Goldberg, Sting or any other WCW main eventer not in WWeee already to Steiner doesn't prove anything. Steiner was damaged goods when WWE signed him which they knew. None of the other guys have major injury issues so the comparison is useless.
Guest notJames Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Have him job to an oncoming train. And I don't mean A-Train.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Actually I'd like to see Angle do a job to him just to piss off AS. But other than that job his dumbass out.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted February 21, 2003 What's up with all the Goldberg-hate? I kind of like him, personally. He may not be Mr. Technical Wrestler like Chris Benoit or whoever, but he brings some energy to the arena, more than guys like William Regal.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I never liked him. From the first time i saw him in the first win of his streak against Hugh Morrus and said "hey look that jobber looks like a biggeer Stone Cold" I had a dislike for him. And then when i saw more and more of his sloppy dangerous(in a bad way) looking offense i grew to hate him.
Guest Renegade Report post Posted February 21, 2003 That added to the fact he has the shittiest finisher for any main eventer.

The "being a sloppy asshole who gives Bret Hart THREE concussions in one match, ends his career and doesn't really care" is a big con.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted February 21, 2003 How should the WWE use Goldberg? Hmmmm, can you say... BROCK CHOW? Then BENOIT CHOW!
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 21, 2003 That added to the fact he has the shittiest finisher for any main eventer. Well it may not have been a great move, but Goldberg did make the finisher work and look like a legit "kill shot" move. With anyone else it would've been a terrible finisher, but Goldberg made it work.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Have Bret Hart kick him in the head really hard while running full speed. Amen brother....and I also agree with AngleSault. Let Low-Ki and Tajiri take turns kicking him in the head. Dames

Guest jester Report post Posted February 21, 2003 how would you --given the book -- use Goldberg? Sign him up for a match with Bob Holly. Beforehand, have Sean O'Haire tell Holly that it was totally inappropriate for Goldberg to say "Only a real pussy would take his joke of a career out on a poor Tough Enough kid" and to call him "Sparky Buttplugg Thurman." Then sit back and watch the blood fly.

Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted February 21, 2003 That added to the fact he has the shittiest finisher for any main eventer. If you consider Kane or Big Show a main eventer, I think the jackhammer is a welcome change from a chokeslam. Or if you consider Booker T a main event guy.... well..... the axe kick just sucks.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Although, I never liked the guy, I always liked the Spear/Jackhammer combo...It was more convincing then a Lame Chokeslame or whatever...
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted February 21, 2003 First I would job Goldberg to Austin and the Rock to make it crystal clear that he isn't even in their league, then I would have him job to Hogan since he owes Hogan a job.
Guest creativename Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I'd job him to Austin, have him beat Hogan (and perhaps Steiner, if he's still around) as well as some mid-card hosses like Batista on TV, then job him out to Jericho or Angle. After that, buh-bye.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I think i would have him annihilate a bunch of bottom feeders like the initial big push in WCW have him beat a couple on "name" guys (top tier) and then job him to a guy thats going to result in some elevation for said guy then really theres not much left to do with him (unless he got magically better at promos or something) all you could really do is start the cycle all over again i read a rumor that they want to do a rpaid 7 month series of him vs rock twice then 5 of the other top guys.. i dont think thats a good idea (unless of course if they are only using him short term) Its especially bad if they have him lose all 7 (or 6 if he beats rock once) because by match 4 the public isnt going to buy him as a threat to the respective WWE "superstar"
