Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Well, WM was pretty awful, but RVD is I/C champ and Benoit is apparently on his way to HWA to get ring ready and should be back in the WWF in less than 2 months. If the bookers pay attention to the midcard at all, we could have: RVD v Benoit, Booker, Storm, Edge for the I/C title. The return of the Benoit-Booker wars. Benoit's revenge on Jericho and/or Austin. ####, maybe even a new 4 horsemen - how does Flair, AA, Y2J and Benoit sound?
Guest One Bad Apple Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Mark Twain was a fucker. I wish he was still alive so I could kill him all over again. ####, maybe even a new 4 horsemen - how does Flair, AA, Y2J and Benoit sound? Pretty bad, considering it'd basically be a tag team. I swear to God ... this board and their Canadian Mafia and their Horseman reunions.
Guest MARTYEWR Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 I think any idea (if any) they have of a new Four Horsemen they should put to bed. Go with something new. I mean, from those 4, two are active, one is retired, and the other is basically a non-wrestler now. It's odd, because Jericho's little Canadian stable he had going looked quite a bit like the Horsemen in many ways. You had the undeserving champ (Flair, Jericho), the silent enforcer (Anderson, Test), the technical member (Blanchard, Storm), and the cocky blond to round it up (Luger or Windham, Christian).
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Plus, we should be getting Kanyon, Rhyno, & Mike Awesome back soon. The mid-card (if booked correctly) should be pretty kick-ass.
Guest Rick001 Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 If they do the split evenly and not like I think they will do it which is put all the big names on RAW and all the "minor" names on SMACKDOWN. However if they do put the lesser know names on Smackdown could be a pretty decent show with no HHH, Rock or Jericho to eat up time.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 "Always look on the bright side" ?? We're smarks. It's not our job to look on the bright side.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 That's not exactly true, it's our job to be overly analytical of wrestling. If it sucks, we have to be negative and fortell the death of professional wrestling. If it's good, we have to talk about how good it was for weeks and weeks. And emphasize everything with caps and '~!' 's.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 even through good times its our job to find negatives because if all is well for a while...complacency will set in
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Mark Twain was a fucker. I wish he was still alive so I could kill him all over again. That's a very well formed literary opinion. Why do you think he was, as you charmingly put it, a fucker?
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 <my two cents> Mark Twain owned </my two cents>
Guest notJames Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Not to divert the thread or anything, but if you squint, Horsemen looks like (w)Hor(e) semen. Seriously, I'm torn. Sure, the nostalgic in me would like to see the 4 Horsemen in some fashion, but we kinda need to move forward lest we start rehashing things like the nWo and bringing Goldust back and... ... oh wait.... nevermind.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Yeah, thats true. What *was* the last decent new idea the WWF had, anyway?
Guest notJames Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Newest idea lately? Steph TV! All Steph. All the time.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Well there was Attitude Wait...that was ripping off ECW, only without awesome matches everywhere.
Guest One Bad Apple Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 That's a very well formed literary opinion. Why do you think he was, as you charmingly put it, a fucker? I think he was a self-important jackass, among many other things. I don't really want to explain it right now. I'll just leave it at this. I killed him once. Shame on me. I can kill him twice. Shame on you.
Guest Brian Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 "(w)Hor(e) semen." SNL Celebrity Jepeordy, Sean Connery. Funny stuff.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I'll just leave it at this. I killed him once. Shame on me. I can kill him twice. Shame on you. Um...call me stupid if you like (and you probably will) but I don't get your point. Twain's quote was along the lines of: if a man fools you once, shame on him, if he fools you twice, shame on you. What you said makes little or no sense that I can see.
