Guest MARTYEWR Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 This past Friday, I got around to watching WWF Insurrextion 2000, a UK PPV I picked up at WalMart for $4. Anyways, if you like WWF during 2000, like I do, it's worth picking up, especially if you can get it at the cheap price I got. That's not the reason for this post however... On the card, Edge & Christian were defending their tag titles against the Hardy Boyz. This was shortly after E&C had turned heel and the announcers were doing everything they can to get them over as heels. Anyways, at one point early in the match, Lawler was pointing out the well-kept hair of E&C. So what does JR say, "Yeah, next thing you know, they'll be doing shampoo commercials!" Well, what's Edge's angle with Booker T revolve around? A shampoo commercial! Who says there's no WWF continuity?
Guest teke184 Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 That PPV is worth picking up anyway due to Angle-Benoit, Eddy-Jericho, and the whole Sportz Entertainment bit with Too Cool, Rikishi, Show-kishi, and the Dudleyz.
Guest Rose of Pain Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 (Play Ominous music) DUN DUN DUN DUN!!

Guest MARTYEWR Posted March 21, 2002 Report Posted March 21, 2002 That PPV is worth picking up anyway due to Angle-Benoit, Eddy-Jericho, and the whole Sportz Entertainment bit with Too Cool, Rikishi, Show-kishi, and the Dudleyz. What happened with them? If you mean the Dudleyz and Rikishi-Showkishi, well, it was basically a comedy match, but a well-worked one. Had the usual spots, including a double-stinkface. After the match, Too Cool joined them, everyone danced, and Buh Buh did this weird 80s breakdancing thing. As for the matches Teke mentioned, they're both good. Angle-Benoit was basically the Wrestlemania X-7 match without the amateur displays and not as many counter moves, while Eddy-Y2J was a great match with very few blown spots. I really miss the Latino Heat-Mamacita gimmick when Eddy and Chyna were both heels. It was great for both of them. Eddy could run around like a coward outside the ring (something he's VERY good at, while the guy chasing him runs into a Chyna clothesline (something she's very good at, because all she has to do is stand still). But those were the days... Actually, Teke, if you're reading this, what was up with Benoit's black eye?
Guest notJames Posted March 21, 2002 Report Posted March 21, 2002 ...what was up with Benoit's black eye? Probably got it from running into the glass ceiling...
