Guest geniusMoment Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Did ECW ever release the Sandman/Raven barbed wire match on DVD. For some reason I thought they did but now I can't find it anywhere. Is it worth looking for, it might be the only ECW title change I don't have on tape and I have heard people say it was pretty brutal.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 It's either on Hardcore History or Extreme Evolution. Gimme a sec and I'll check... Extreme Evolution. 4th or 5th match.
J.B. Buzzkill Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 It's on Extreme Evolution. Jay Spree did a review of it.
Guest tpww7 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Yep, it's on Extreme Evolution, I think that the Sabu/Terry Funk one on Deep Impact is more brutal than that one.
J.B. Buzzkill Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Yep, it's on Extreme Evolution, I think that the Sabu/Terry Funk one on Deep Impact is more brutal than that one. I agree. Deep Impact is also a better overall DVD.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 It's not a bery good match, which is probably way it was never released in the first place...yet, die hard fans wanted to see it. It was a title change after all.
Guest BobBacklundRules Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 While we're on the subject of ECW DVD's, which one is the best overall? I just bought Path of Destruction on DVD.
Guest tpww7 Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Made a good choice, POD is probably the best overall in my opinion, but I havent watched them in some time.
Guest Retro Rob Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 The match in question is probably only on the UNCENSORED version of that tape, so make sure you look into that before buying anything.
Guest BobBacklundRules Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Yeah, I rented Extreme Evolution on tape and it didn't have as many matches on it than the DVD. I know it didn't have Sandman/Raven.
Guest Dangerous A Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I think Path of Destruction is the best of the ECW DVD's with Deep Impact a very close second. Extreme Evolution is probrably my least favorite of them all.
Guest ShooterJay Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Path of Destruction is the best, but I'd put Hardcore History over Deep Impact. My VHS copy of Extreme Evolution has the Raven/Sandman match- it's not very good.
Guest geniusMoment Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I guess I shouldn't listen to Chris Forbes. The reason why I was interested in it was because I was looking through an old torch from 1996 and Forbes gave the match a great review, maybe it was because he was there. He said they screwed up the finishing piledriver on the table, how bad did they mess it up?
Guest ShooterJay Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Path of Destruction is the best, but I'd put Hardcore History over Deep Impact. My VHS copy of Extreme Evolution has the Raven/Sandman match- it's not very good.
