janusd 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2003 ~Ever get the feeling something's going on and you don't know what?~ This is the thought that whirls through Janus' mind as he locks the door of his apartment, bag over his shoulder. Dressed in his usual black boots and leather pants, the giant has a dark green shirt on and a bag slung over his shoulder. Something is wrong...and I do not know what. Terrence wants to stop hiding. Huh? He's been sitting inside, protecting himself from the world by using you. He wants out. Janus stepped down the stairs and onto the sidewalk, cocking his head slightly to one side, then the other, cricking the bones in his neck before he began walking down the street towards where the taxis were known to pull up. Wants out...? Yes. He uses you as a mask, a shield, to protect himself from the world. Terrence is nothing but a fool then. He cannot use me. The giant paused, frowning slightly. He knew his name was Janus, but he also knew he had gone by the name of Terrence in the past. One name was real, one name was a fraud. But the question starting to cause real problems in his mind... ...was which one was real. Finding a taxi ready for business, the giant packs his bag in the back and climbs in, directing the driver to go to the airport. He had a show to go to. ~You're just a mask, Janus, nothing more. I never wanted to be this dark, this evil!~ You are Terrence, then. I am Janus. ~We're the same person!~ Wrong. You are a pathetic weakling, and I am going to be next in line for the title. The giant's face contorted at the confusion in his head - he knew he had just been thinking, but for a moment there it was as if the part of him that wanted to be Terrence had become a voice of its own.
