Guest Karnage Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Let's post our most hatable (is that a word?) games on the current next gen systems. What are yours?
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 I'd like to throw Lord of the Rings the Two Towers out there. I played it for a bit, realized every level was the same thing and quit.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 PS2: Orphen, Just Bring It, and Shadow of Destiny
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 X-Box: Raw is the worst game I've played for it so far. I was fairly underwhelmed with Mechassault also, but I attribute that more to my aversion to shoot-and-kill-everything games.
Guest chirs3 Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 The Bouncer. TERRIBLE game. The Two Towers is close behind it.
Guest bravesfan Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 PS2: Army Men: Green Rogue. What a hard fucking game that was; IMO, there's absolutely no way to get past the SECOND LEVEL without a second player helping you out. Let's not even discuss the impossible-to-achieve powerups and nearly-invisible opponent's gunfire impossible to dodge at a rapid pace (while your character is only alloted 3 lives).
Guest Will Scarlet Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 The Bouncer. TERRIBLE game. I remember this game. I was pumped when it first came out in stores. I even paid $90 Canadian to get it...only to beat it the first night I bought it and basically have it collect dust ever since. I hated the first PS2 games, they were terrible more often than not.
Guest Renegade Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 The bouncer all the way. I find it offensive that Square tried to get away with it.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Well, I kinda liked the Bouncer (special moves and everything) but man, when I beat it I kept expecting for the REST of the game to start. Then I just got all three characters to beat it so I'd get to see everything and unlock all the characters for the little battle mode, but I still souldn't believe how short it was. I thought the Two Towers was fun in a beat em up sorta way. Plus the extras were pretty good. Sure you couldn't play as Gandalf (boo frickin' hoo) but the characters were just different enough to make it worth playing through with all of them.
Guest redbaron51 Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Two Towers is a rental game... Worst game out there lately... Cube: Metroid Prime... It's got nothing added to the game...nadda zero niltch....total let-down. X-Box: Ghost Recon: Challenging levels, but no real depth of game play. PS2: Getaway....Man did this one hit the shit tank on this one with all the bad controls and all. Also to add: Raw, Bouncer, Stuntman, Smackdown, Starfox...
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Xbox: Kabuki Warriors. So so so bad.
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Shadow of Destiny I've heard a lot of good things 'bout this game, and even viewed some movies. Aside from the no fighting in the game...what's bad about it? Hell, I was thinking of getting it soon. PS2: Getaway - Crappy controls, way too difficult Dead Or Alive - Kill guys. Wait two seconds. Kill more guys. Umm...strategy? Silent Hill 2 - I didn't get very far, so just ended up wandering around and not knowing where to go.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Dead or Alive? The fighting game? Isn't that what it's called? There's 2 games sharing that name out there!? I thought that wasn't allowed.....
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 2 games named Dead or Alive? Hmmm....to clarify the one I'm talking about, it's the one they used to advertise during Raw, iirc.
Guest fazzle Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Shadow of Destiny I've heard a lot of good things 'bout this game, and even viewed some movies. Aside from the no fighting in the game...what's bad about it? Hell, I was thinking of getting it soon. Well, it's in the vein of old adventure games, except without the pointing and clicking, with it being on PS2....unless you get the PC version. If you like adventure games, you should like it.
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 It turns out it's not called 'Dead or Alive'. The one I meant was 'Dead to Rights'.
LaParkaYourCar Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Two Towers is a rental game... I loved Metroid Prime. I just couldn't stop playing it. I liked the look and feel of it.

Aside from the no fighting in the game...what's bad about it? Hell, I was thinking of getting it soon. I guess I just wasn't a big fan of it. Or maybe I was just tired of my dying and coming back over and over again that just ended up getting a tad repetative. Though, I only actually played the game halfway through, so maybe it gets more interesting later on.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Worst game out there lately... Cube: Metroid Prime... WTF??? I reiterate. WTF??? Did you even play it for more than 5 minutes? Its the best game currently available for the Gamecube (in the US anyway..).. I would say the worst Gamecube game is probably Cel Damage or XG3. I haven't played a lot of the games, but I of the ones I have played, those would be the ones I would say are the worst.
Guest CED Ordonez Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Worst games I've played in the past year are BMX XXX and Black & Bruised. Only have a PS2 at my disposal, so those are my picks.
