Guest creativename Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 As Reagan said to Gorbachov - "Tear down that glass ceiling." ...Or something like that. Reagan: "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" <==> The Rock: "Mr. Helmsley, tear down this glass ceiling!" The parallels are even more eerie when you realize both Reagan and Rock were/are actors, and also this... Knute Rockne: "And the last thing he said to me - 'Rock,' he said -'sometimes, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys - tell them to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Gipper... I don't know where I'll be then, Rock', he said - 'but I'll know about it - and I'll be happy.'" <==> Rocky Maivia: "Win one...for the Blue Chipper!"
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 <-- Isn't looking forward to the "Beer! WHOOP-ASS! WHAT! WHAT! WHAT! BEER! THAT'S THE BOTTOMLINE!" Stone Cold Steve Austin. However, if he came back as "I'm going to be the Superstar that I always knew I could be - because there is no one, no one, in ECW that can stop me" Steve Austin, then I would have something to look forward to.
Guest Angle-plex Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 So what is Bischoff's welcoming comitee for Austin going to be Monday? A bunch of police officers? Jazz? Rock? GOLDBERG~?
Guest RedJed Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 All I know is I enjoyed this show more than anything since the Raw when Bischoff showed up. I didn't see anything too awful or pointless other than Kane-Storm, and even at least that was a fast match. There was something different in the flow and direction of the show too. Hard to explain but overall it almost seemed like the writing was very different in concepts and execution.
NYU Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 So what is Bischoff's welcoming comitee for Austin going to be Monday? A bunch of police officers? Jazz? Rock? GOLDBERG~? I assumed the welcoming committee was just going to be 3 Minute Warning with Rico. I mean, it's only logical that, if you want to get Austin off to a quick, hot, motivated start, you need to put him against 2 Fat Samoans and a Hair Stylist. It's Common Sense !
Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 You are wrong the fat samoans have an endless feud with RVD and Kane.
