Guest evenflowDDT Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 I thought Tajiri was a Japanese buzzsaw. Not buzz-spider...
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The RVD one, while kinda plain, looks good.
Guest Ram Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 I actually like Tajiri and RVD's. Jeff's is ultra gay, though.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 I wrestler's initials wrapped in barbed almost always works when designing a t-shirt. I think Tajiri's is the worst, myself. He's a buzzsaw, and they don't give the tarantula enough press to warrant a subtle t-shirt for it.
Guest Sturgis Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 He's a buzzsaw, and they don't give the tarantula enough press to warrant a subtle t-shirt for it. Yeah, but it's still a kick ass shirt.
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Jeff's is ultra gay, though. As it should be. It IS a Jeff Hardy shirt. I guess it's okay for girls and gay men.
Guest Ram Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Jeff's is ultra gay, though. As it should be. It IS a Jeff Hardy shirt. I guess it's okay for girls and gay men. I have no doubt he designed it himself either.

It looks like a Daddy Long Legs that swallowed a really tiny football.

Guest sean pyro Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 glad they found out that no guy whats to be seen outside wearing a shrit with a half naked man on it. i think its good their going back to simple designs as well. even tho on yoshihiro it looks like a spider more than a tarantula.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Is Tajiri still even around? ( I know he is. Im just being sarcastic)
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 "Beware of falling objects...LIKE MY CAREER!" Oh ho ho ho, I crack myself up. ::slips out the back door::
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Tajiri's shirt isn't bad.. and although I'm pretty sure tarantulas don't have webs, it plays on the recent popularity of spider man I guess. But what is the point of having a Tajiri tshirt when he is never even used on TV? Maybe that means in line for some sort of push..
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Jeffs shirt looks like a gay indy shirt... I like RVD's and Tajiri's is alright.
Guest Choken One Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 RVD is direct and Concise with nothing fancy...I like it. Dispite the lame Web thing...Love the Tajiri logo and warming up to the Japan Flag on sleeve.. Of Course Jeff is an horrible Teshirt...
Guest fazzle Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The front of the Jeff shirt isn't bad, but the back is horrible. RVD shirt would be good if his initials were more subtle.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The "JH" looks like the profile for one of the 3 Muskateers on the front of Jeff's shirt.
Guest The Notorious CRD Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The RVD and Tajiri shirts are passable, but I agree that the Jeff Hardy t-shirt is horrible.
Guest The Tino Standard Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 At least Jeff Hardy now has a shirt that isn't "new" while having a 4-year-old picture of him on it.
Guest mach7 Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Jeff's is ultra gay, though. As it should be. It IS a Jeff Hardy shirt. I guess it's okay for girls and gay men. Yeah, the "Jeff is gay" jokes never get tiresome around here do they? Lame.
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The "JH" looks like the profile for one of the 3 Muskateers on the front of Jeff's shirt. lol, ur right, thats pretty damn funny
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The RVD and Tajiri shirts aren't that bad when you put them next to the batch of shirts they've put out in the last few months...The Hardy one blows though (and I didn't even follow that up with a "Jeff is gay" joke)
Guest subliminal_animal Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Jeff's is ultra gay, though. As it should be. It IS a Jeff Hardy shirt. I guess it's okay for girls and gay men. I think since he seems to use a lot of green and purple with hair color and body paint, it's a good choice for the color scheme. It's also not a very commonplace combination, as much as two colors sitting next to each other can't be commonplace. The logo looks "quirky," so it kinds of fits him. Plus it's a change from all the hard-edged ones with straight angles ending in points. The only real problem I can point out in the sillouhette on the back. The phrase maybe a little too subtle without it though, so I don't know. It's not something I would wear, but it's not awful and I really can't point out much that I find wrong with it. I wrestler's initials wrapped in barbed almost always works when designing a t-shirt. I think Tajiri's is the worst, myself. He's a buzzsaw, and they don't give the tarantula enough press to warrant a subtle t-shirt for it. And tarantulas don't even make webs. But I think I've seen a similar design on a few of his ring pants, though, so maybe that's the reason. The black doesn't lend itself to my noticing.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Tajiri's shirt is not that bad. I think it is grwing on me. My question is: I haven't seen him in weeks, what's he doing with a shirt?
Guest CED Ordonez Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Dangit, somebody beat me to the punch in my usual contribution to the WWE board. RVD's shirt gets my shirt of the week award, with Tajiri in second. They finally went with the "Less is More" approach. RVD's shirt is what I like in wrestling shirt: Simple, yet effective. I dig the barbed wire logo. The yin-yang symbols feel a bit excessive, but they work. Tajiri's seems more of a Spider-man shirt, but I guess that was the allusion they were going for. Jeff Hardy's shirt...is...stylistic and not really a shirt for my tastes. Fun quote on the back, but no thanks. At least it doesn't have a giant pic of Jeff's mug on the shirt, which makes it an improvement over his last shirt.
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 RVD's - Very shibby. I'd buy it if I wasn't broke. Tajiri's - Eh...not that bad. Jeff's - Good on the front, not so good on the back. I'm sure one of his poems would've been better. Hell, I think the picture is fine without the text.
Guest TheCynicalHateMongerFromHell Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Tajiri gets his own shirt? Thats awesome. Where's Cena's?
