Guest mickberna Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Sweet. Amazing the pop he gets... simply amazing.
Guest treble charged Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 The 'You Sold Out' chants were a lot louder in the arena. That's the first time I've seen it since last night and it's just as awesome as I remembered it.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I don't get "Save Target As" or whatever as an option.
Guest Eagan469 Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I don't get "Save Target As" or whatever as an option. then just click on it
Guest Flyboy Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I don't get "Save Target As" or whatever as an option. You must suck at technology.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Beats sucking at everything else though, hey Flyboy UYI
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Clicking on it gets me a page full of weird-ass characters. Maybe it's because I'm using Netscape?
Guest Breetai Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Those asshole chants are the biggest I've ever heard. Including McMahon 97-99
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I was unsure about the Rock, as I'd never seen him (since he returned), because Australia only carries RAW. However, after last night and that promo, The Rock is HANDS DOWN the greatest thing the WWE has going at the moment and is by far the reason I'll be watching RAW until the day he leaves the business. Whether that be a few months away or not, Rock is God, if the entrance didn't convince you, his promo work had to. UYI
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Single handedly the Rock has made me care about a show i had given up on. Heel Rock is a thing of beauty, that promo was gold, the fact that there's bound to be more greatness from the Rock to come makes me not want to miss Raw as long as he's there, when before i could care less if i saw Raw or not.
Guest mach7 Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 WWE sure likes to re-use footage. That helicopter from the opening of his Titantron is from the 95 intro to RAW when they redid the opening spot... I think they even used it during DX's original Titantron. Ahh, Vince, a billionaire ...but so cheap that he won't even buy some new stock footage.
Guest SP-1 Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I downloaded it but it wants to catch and freeze around when Rock is on the ropes playing to the crowd after he gets in the ring. In Winamp, it actually froze and I had deep, slomo JR and King commentary/audio. When it finally started sounding right, it was out of sync with the video. Anyone else have this problem? It syncs back up in Windows MediaPlayer, but it still catches and slowls down. . .
Guest OnlyMe Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 << Anyone else have this problem? It syncs back up in Windows MediaPlayer, but it still catches and slowls down. . . >> Yeah, exactly the same
King Cucaracha Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Lawler RULES on slow-mo.....seriously, I laughed my ass off at Lawler's high-pitched squeaks turning into DDP from his stalker days...oh, and Rock rules. He may save Raw in the long run...
TheFranchise Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 It goes back to normal after 10 seconds, but the best piece of Raw i've seen in ages, i love his enterence!

You get to write off the footage as a long-term asset and you get to re-use footage rather than spend time making something new. Plus, it looks good.
TheFranchise Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I thought i recognised the plane from the early DX videos.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I think I speak for everyone who started watching wrestling only when it became popular (late 98-early 99) when I say I thought the helicopter effect came off pretty well for me.
TheFranchise Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Absolutly, it gave such a film/movie effect on his enterance, it was great
Guest Ram Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 His new theme music reminds me of one of those 80's B-Movies (like Running Man, for example.) Really kickass.
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I love how the WWE will take someone's theme and bastardize it when they turn, making it sound more evil or positive as the situation requires. Examples: Adam Bomb, Doink, The Undertaker, Diesel, and now the Rock.
Guest SP-1 Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I love the new theme. I hope it surfaces online soon.
Guest treble charged Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I don't think a lot of the people who were sitting near me saw No Way Out, since most of them didn't react to the Rock's entrance until after all the helicopter stuff happened. Me, though, I jumped up the second it hit the TitanTron.
Guest SP-1 Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 That's such a great entrance. I didn't see NWO, but on Raw, the video package rolled and then, is cookin . . . And the lights hit just as the bass hit and it was just really great. Though, like you said TC, it kinda sounded like the crowd in generaly was kinda like, "What?" until the music hit and Rocky walked out. Kinda. Maybe not, I dunno.
Guest treble charged Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Yeah, I could hear some people going, 'Huh, what's that?' or somethings along those lines before the actual music hit.
Guest SP-1 Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Sounded like it kind of exploded once they figured it out though. I bet that was fun. I'll never forget my first "arena explosion" moment at a wrestling show.

Guest AndrewTS Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Thanks, I missed Raw's opening. And No Way Out.
Guest Renegade Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 That is the funniest heel promo since the Angle and Rock interview.
