Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted February 26, 2003 I think if they have good buildup and a quality card, Mania will draw in 800,000 at the most. No more, no less than 650,000.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted February 26, 2003 - WWE's animated TV show will be a mix of traditional anime as well as Korean animation to provide very delated facial expressions. The cartoon will feature WWE characters, as well as new characters. WWE is very excited about it. A WWe anime based cartoon? That actually sounds interesting. I'll watch it at least once just to see how much anime influence it has. Also...what the hell is korean animation. Yes i know it's "animation made in korea", but I never knew korean animation was a certian style. If the parts of the Clerks: Animated Series are accurate--it's a ripoff of Japanese anime, only more cheaply animated. Great, Magical Girl "Divas," bishonen like Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore running rampant, and likely other anime cliches. Steph will make sure her character is the star, looks hotter than all the others, and has the biggest boobs.
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted February 27, 2003 The person who flustered Linda last time by asking about the conflict of interest by having HGH date Stephanie, got her again when he congratulated her on their engagement. When he did so, she responded with silence.

HOLY SHIT, is UM getting the ratings? That would the only damn reason they are planing this.

Guest BiOHaZaRD EX Report post Posted February 27, 2003 Well, interesting stuff came out of that Conference Call. A WWE, Korean Animation cartoon? It will be a funny sight to see! Hopefully, but I doubt it, the WWE roster will flll in for voice acting. It would be funny to see Vince McMahon be in one of those cartoon, yelling, and getting mad, and those crazy animations....sweet...

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2003 "Fighting evil by moonlight Winning love by daylight Never running from a real fight She is the one named Sailor Steph!" Watch as Sailor Steph falls in love with Tuxedo H! Be thrilled as Sailor Steph hogs the spotlight, making sure that Sailors Molly (Mercury), Victoria (Mars), Trish (Venus), and Nidia (Jupiter) only have bit parts and their attacks are worthless! Or we could have a Ranma 1/2 parody! Edge is a boy who turns into a girl when splashed with cold water! Watch the hilarity as Edge has to cope with his tomboyish girlfriend Lita, life-long rival with an awful sense of direction Christian, and arrogant cruiserweight champion, Matt Hardy, Version One (Who develops a crush on Edge's female body without ever realizing that she's a he)! ... *Blink* We could do Cowboy Bebop! Chris Jericho is a bad-ass bounty hunter! With help from his crew, the veteran ex-cop Big Bossman, sex-kitten con artist Torrie Wilson, and absolute maniac Radical Edward (I would never get rid of Ed!), can he face his past and finally get something to eat? The possibilities are endless!

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2003 I'd say Chyna because now she isn't unbearable to look at anymore, and neither is Uranus. Hmm, what about Neptune... eh, maybe Dawn Marie, she has done a bit of experimenting in WWE...
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted February 27, 2003 [[- About cutting costs, they said they are always looking at ways to run their business as efficient as possible. - Said they are closing to buying two new tape libraries and will add them to video/DVD and TV. These libraries are likely ECW and AWA.]] That quote's a keeper. Running an efficient and profitable business involves buying entire video libraries so that other's cant have them? Even if they wanted to sell ECW and AWA tapes/dvds, who would buy them? All the left over ECW fans have gotten the Pioneer releases, and anyone who ever remembers the AWA is well out of the WWE's "target audience." [[- WWE's animated TV show will be a mix of traditional anime as well as Korean animation to provide very delated facial expressions. The cartoon will feature WWE characters, as well as new characters. WWE is very excited about it.]] Once again, more efficient businness plans from the geniuses in Stamford. How many of these things are going to tank before they get the point? Stick to what you know. If you know wreslting, do wreslting then. [[- When asked about the Rock's future, McMahon said he will be "in and out" of WWE storylines and that he put over new talent this past Monday.]] So Rock put over a comedy character and a forty-year-old on Raw. How does that help the WWE's future, exactly? [[- Said that WWE plans to "test the waters" regarding a PPV split this year. Their goal is to increase the amount of yearly PPVs.]] Yeah, the Jarretts are having so much success with the weekly pay per views, the WWE can't help but get in on the action! I guess more of Russo's stash has made it into the WWE Company Bong. [[- Someone pointed out that WCW PPVs failed due to them packing their stars on big shows and making it to where nobody bought the other shows. Linda responded by stressing that they are more creative than WCW.]] Har har. And proof of that lies...? [[- Linda said she could not confirm any PPV buyrates.]] Translation: Yep, they're as bad as you guessed.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted February 27, 2003 Heh, a WWE style Cowboy Bebop would be interesting to say the least. Only problem is, the closest to Spike in WWE is...Edge. Now that I think of it, a Spiegel-like character in WWE would be an awesome idea Vicious could be pre-quad HHH...Ed could be Spanky, er yeah...and Einstein could be Pepper! Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted February 27, 2003 I don't see how the Rock put over a "new" star unless she's refering to Helms, who has been around long enough as it is. Certainly can't be refering to Booker T as a "new" star. The cartoon sounds interesting, and maybe they'll release the whole 80's cartoon series on DVD (and not just a best of collection). I wouldn't mind a PPV split if you had 4 combined PPVs (Rumble, Mania, King of the Ring and Survivor Series) and 4 Seperate PPVs for RAW and Smackdown. It would definitely mean a whole lot more interest in the PPVs. But if they are going to try and run RAW and Smackdown PPVs every month, then that is DOOMED to be a failure unless you can rent each one for a total cost of what one costs now, which obviously won't happen because PPV production costs would double and they would be making half as much per PPV.
