But hoping what keeps some people happy, so here's hoping. Anyways, word is that Austin has been pissed with Vince, and(this probably has no basis for concern) Austin was nowhere on the show. This probably means nothing but... What would you think of a new promotion run by Austin, ngle, and Foley? With financial backing, of course. You would have a leader in Pro Wrestling, a leader in Amateur Wrestling, and a leader in Hardcre Wrestling. Unlikely, I know, bt suspend disbelief for a moment. After all, who says Turner doesn't want revenge on Vince? If these three big stars defected(they probably can't, I don't know their contract expirations) and had backing by Turner...wow, think about it. Think of what a fed booked by these three would loo like...it would have something for EVERYBODY: Pro, Amateur, and Hardcore. I know, unlikely, but it is better than thinking about Vince controlling wrestling. Comments? Opinions?

The Gun angle with Pillman, the semi-truck, Papa Shango, Austin threatning to shoot McMahon on live TV(WTF?), Chyna beating Jericho, Chyna winning the IC title, Chyna and Eddy, Stephanie becomming a spotlight monster(I liked her on TV at first...but then it got so #### repetitive), Hogan beating Yoko after Hart lost, SUPERNATURAL Undertaker(I liked the mortician gimmick, but not the "magic), The Barber, Lucy, Pepper, Akeem, Kane(although I like Glen's ability), Shane beating wrestlers, Vince winning the World title, Linda/Vince divorce, the failed InVasion, making Booker a midcarder, letting Steph write, Bossman hanging, Kane trying to set people on fire, Kane threating to burn himself to death if he lst, inferno match, Socko, Sable, Gillberg, ect al. Help... I just want someone to take Vince down.

I have all the respect in the world for Cactus Jack, but I think he has to be a little touched in the head to do some of the stuff that he did. I don't think that Austin would leave. If he did, why would he just not retire? He is rich, and married to Debra, I would stay home. Angle is in a big contract. He also couldn't know too much about the business considering he hasn't been there very long.

As for the Hardcore concept I would prefer a cage deathmatch or the TLC variety. I would turn the channel if I see New Jack running down the isle with a shopping cart of plunder, I hate the weapons matches especially if they pick up the weapons from under the ring before the match. But if it was a cage match FMW style with spiderweb barbwire, nails, etc it would be ok maybe 4 times a year.

Guest Risk Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 New Jack wasn't hardcore...he was a stunt man, a high spot "artist". Cage matches are hardcore, TLC is hardcore, ladde matches are hardcore, barbed-wire, chairs, tables, no dq, falls count anywhere, lights out match, ect al. THAT is hardcore. Foley knows these matches. Angle knows "Amateur" wrestling, Olympic stle wrestling. This would give wrestling some legitimatcy. Where as Austin knows the gist of Pro Wrestling and knows how stars feel to be held down. You HAVE to like at least ONE of these three, so, having them all as th only bookers in a fed backed by big money(aka Turner, Ted). Think about it.
