Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 great..MORE stuff to download *sigh*. Eh, I think the music video will have to hold me over until...November *grumbles some more*.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted March 2, 2003 oh yah! "another" one... Yuna, but you really, really, like FF, don't ya?
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Not really. Just updating for the other FF fans out there. Once the game comes out in Japan, which is in two weeks, I'm sure the hype will calm down.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Eh, I think the music video will have to hold me over until...November *grumbles some more*. It's only nine more months. I am sure it will fly by. Once the game comes out in Japan, which is in two weeks, I'm sure the hype will calm down. Lucky Japanese. They get all the cool games way before the US. I just wish they would import the virtual dog walking game I heard about a few months back. That game sounds strangely entertaining in a weird sort of way. Guest Star Ocean 3 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Is anyone that excited about this game? FFX's characters weren't that good to begin with. I'd rather see info Tales of Symphonia, or the new Arc game.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Well for myself and Yuna at least there's another preview of X-2 here at Gamespot. Nothing really new, although it goes into a bit more depth on the job spheres and the fact that X-2 is largely mission based (???) albeit somewhat more open ended. Basically, the order you do the missions help determine how the game advances. Interesting, although I imagine there's only so many permutations Square can cram onto one disc, even if it's a DVD. Invictus 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 I'm excited to play it, simply because I love all the FF games. But I would much rather see a new Chrono series game personally. North American's get the big games before Japan every once in awhile. Look at Metal Gear Solid 2. There were reports on how pissed off everyone in Japan was because North American's got to experience it first. Metroid Prime is another example, but that game was developed in Texas so it makes sense.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 That may have been true with MGS2, but look what Japan got when it came out there. They got some special edition (IIRC) with several different extras that never saw the light of day over here. That's the way it seems sometimes. When a game is released here first Japan gets ticked off, so they get a special edition or some sort of "extra". When we have to wait, oh well it takes time to translate, etc. Double standards totally rule!
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 I didn't think I needed to start a new thread for two new scans, so I'll just post 'em here... FFX-2 Site Info: This first scan provides information on three different minigames found throughout the game. We will have a section up on the site regarding "minigames" in the near future. FFX-2 Site Info: This second scan shows that Ren's name is actually "Lenne." However, we're still waiting on the official site's next update to be certain. Lenne will also indeed be voiced by Koda Kumi, the singer of Real Emotion and 1,000 Words. In the second scan, you can also see Yuna, Rikku and Paine with an animal of some sort. This confirms, once again, that the animal training job will be present.
