Recomend Me a PS2 Game

Recommended Posts

Guest Dace59

It's my b-day at the weekend, and I'm gonna get a new PS2 game, but I dunno what to get.

I have: SD4, Max Payne, Kingdom Hearts, Summoner 2 and FFX.

I really don't want another RPG, and I hate sports games.

I can not, and will not import/mod, because I can't be botherd.

So, ruling that out, anyone have any suggestions.

A desc of the game, details, mini reviews if you want to.

Thank you.

I owe anyone that repiles a cookie.

If you're looking for mindless fun, Dynasty Warriors 3 is good, but 4 is coming out soon.

GTA Vice City is pretty neato, if you ask me.

If you're looking for a fightning game, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is very hectic, and has enough extras to keep you playin' for quite some time.

And, of course, Escape From Monkey Island.

Well, those are a few suggestions. But I'd say rent one of them first, just in case. Or, just rent some random game, see if you like it. Worth a shot.

GTA Vice City is a fun game. Definately worth checking out, especially if you love 80's music, and want to play in a Miami vice setting. GTA3 is also quality game too. Both are worth at least renting to see if you want to buy them.

If you like wrestling games... I think that the Def jam Wrestling game will be hitting the stores soon, and it's supposed to have a No Mercy feel to it. but you might need to wait a week or too, so I am not sure if you have the patience.

Hitman 2, is also a real fun game. Which has a high replay value.

Capcom vs SNK 2: IMO the best fighting game for the PS2. A huge roster of Capcom and SNK characters (no Andy, K' or Billy Kane though) with 6 different styles of play. Endless multiplayer potential if you have friends willing to learn the grooves.

Now give me my cookie.

Dead To Rights. I've played it for the Cube, and words cannot describe how cool this game is. If you liked Max Payne, you should love this (I loved Payne myself.)

FYI, if there is a Target near you, this week there is a sale on PS2 games. If you get any two of the Greatest Hits series, you can get a 3rd game free. 3 games for the price of one is pretty good IMO.

I think Blood Rayne beats Dynasty Warriors in the 'mindless fun' department. Go around, hacking Nazi's in all sorts of brutal ways with a hot half-vampire chick. What could be better?

Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Metal Gear Solid 2 or Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Twisted Metal: Black, and Frequency are all good.
