Console Anglesault Thread

Everyone has heard the rumors that Kurt Angle may be out for up to a year due to a neck injury. As a tightly knit community, we should help console our resident Kurt Angle fanboy. Now, he'll take the abnormal stress out of his life by not witnessing and complaining about Angle being buried. So c'mon team. Give him some incouragement, HE NEEDS IT.

My opinion: All of you Angle fanboys should jump on the John Cena gravy train. The guy is the next star, might be bold enough to admit it now. Jumping on the bandwagon later will lead to you getting ridiculed by mercilessly.

I've like John Cena since the day he debuted (I'm not just saying that, do a search on my posts and you'll see I was high on this guy before most people)...Cena = Next big star.

As for Angle...:( is all I have to say.

Cena is growing on me, and he's getting better in the ring. I just keep getting residual Lesnar/cena flashbacks. I hate that match. ;)

I just thank god Cena got rid of those tights he was wearing at the start of his run.

Heh....you've hated like EVERY Cena match (other than Jericho/Angle) Pre-Rap Babyface stage! But that's okay.

I like Cena because Angle's helped him out a lot backstage and I think you can tell that with his in ring style. Remember when this guy was suppose to be the next Sting?

Man, what time and a new gimmick can do and change....

Well, save the Rico match, they all sucked.

I still don't think I've ever seen Cena do anything but punch, kick, clothesline, choke, and once in a blue moon a powerslam.

I'm not the only one, am I? He's hilarious, but like Batista or Orton, I've never seen him, like, actually wrestle for any longer than 2 minutes.

Encouragement, to correct your typo.

And Anglesault, I'm sure the greatness that is Stevie Richards will give you something to watch during these troubled times. B-)

Oh God!

I don't watch Smackdown, so I don't consider myself an Angle fanboy, and I most likely won't jump onto the "Cena bandwagon" anytime soon.

That sucks that Angle is injured though.

I can't believe the news about Angle. He's one of the shining stars lighting up a dark sky, and to lose him means that I'm one step closer to giving up hope on WWE.

Let's recap this past weekend:

Batista, Orton, Angle, Bubba Ray injured

Regal sick with stomach virus

Now, I could care less about The Dudley Boys, since much like Hogan, the nostalgia pop they got at Survivor Series has died out. Batista and Orton need time to develop skill wise, but personality wise, Orton has become a cult favorite, and defininetly a favorite of mine. Angle I can honestly say I've liked since day 1, and probably am at AS levels of fandom, just minus much of the cynicism. Oh, and Regal...you know, I remember when Test request a night off due to a flu, and he got heat from it. Regal is a Tag Team Champion, and one of Crips' best pals. Think he's gonna get heat? Actually, if he does, it'll be the most he's gotten in months.

Oh, and as for Cena, I liked the man as Prototype. I questioned bringing him in as a babyface, as the Prototype gimmick would have been much better. He was too bland in the beginning, despite being part of the "Team Smackdown!" with Edge and Rey. The fact that he took a gimmick solely made to cash in on Eminem and 8 Mile's success and established a great heel persona from it just shows how gifted the kid is.

I could care less about Bubba. And I'll be the first to tell you that Batista and Orton are pretty bad workrate wise. But at least they were giving it a go with new faces. Orton is hilarious in his role, ever since he got the RNN skits to just let go and be a jackass. I don't think people take to Batista because of how similar his push and Brock's were, so they see him as just another big guy being shoved down our throat right now. He needs something to differentiate himself from the pack. I'm no Batista fan, but at least he was a new face.

Cena has never really been put into a great opportunity to wrestle a long match. As he gains experience, he'll only improve. Right now, he's the most exciting person on the show besides the Rock. Just go with it. I'm glad Anglesault has seen the light, now all of you do the same. And while you cheer on Cena, keep the memory of Kurt Angle burning inside of you.

The shows really need secondary belts to push the up and comers with. Fuck the cruiserweight shit, the WWE was and never will be serious about pushing the division. Create the TV Title for RAW and the US Title for Smackdown, and push guys that way. Guys like Cena can get a bit of a rub that way on the path to elevation.

Exactly. Thats how The Rock became a credible Main Eventer. Its how Jericho and Angle got the push in the right direction. It gives the fans an idea that the WWE is serious in pushing certain stars to the top. Though the IC, US, and TV Titles became a joke towards the end, they served their purpose back in the 90's of solidifying mid card wrestlers into upper/main event competitors.

for those of you who have been around long enough, you should know that this was anglesault's wish for the longest time. angle getting injured prevents him from getting embarassed every week.

Would you be there for me if Cena or Guerrero got hurt? Heck, I'll make out with anyway.

I hope it was as good for you as it was for me.

Hey now. I have jumped on that bandwagon as well. I am all for anything that gives Chuck Palumbo a push. I enjoy Palumbo. I don't why, but I do.
