Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted March 4, 2003 I just bought the Clerks: Animated Series DVD, and it's hilarious. My fav is episode 4 by far (Who is driving? Bear is driving! How can that be?!). However, I went to go watch it on my PS2 and it didn't work. I thought maybe the disk was screwed up, but it works on my main DVD player. So does this thing just not work on PS2 or what? Guest Karnage Report post Posted March 4, 2003 The PS2 isn't the perfect DVD player... http://dvd.ign.com/articles/315957p1.html

LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2003 that's weird. I have the set (I love it) and I have watched it on both my main DVD player and my PS2... the PS2 worked fine the few times I used it... I don't know. Of course, my PS2 is still pretty new (X-mas present) so maybe that's why I haven't really had any messups yet. Episode 4 is also my favorite, I love it. I show that to anyone I tell the show about. I also love Episode 2, the clip show, it's great, but to make it even funnier, you have to see Episode 1 first... that's a little more involved. Hope you figure out your problem. My set has worked, I dunno.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted March 4, 2003 I have the first driver, so I'm screwed according to IGN's list. Ah well. Time to get a new DVD player for my room.......
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted March 4, 2003 I was always kind of partial to Jay and Silent Bob kicking Charles Barkley's ass for being in their segments.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted March 4, 2003 yea. Now, every time I see that scene in Godfather I say "We do the Science Sez segments around here, got it?!"
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 4, 2003 Plays fine on my PS2...I love the movie and all, but I think the Animated Series is very overrated. I still like it though. I like all the episodes pretty well except the sick monkey one and the last one...both have moments, but they're the weakest of the batch.
Guest red_file Report post Posted March 4, 2003 Weren't there rumors recently that the cartoon was going to get picked up by MTv? I thought I recall reading that over at the View Askew website, but I might have been mistaken.
Guest RevEvil Report post Posted March 4, 2003 Weren't there rumors recently that the cartoon was going to get picked up by MTv? I thought I recall reading that over at the View Askew website, but I might have been mistaken. Well Comedy Central's showing it now.
Guest JangoFett4Hire Report post Posted March 4, 2003 the last one is great "You mean like a kissing booth for charity?" Yeah Except there's no booth and it's not for charity and there's more than just kissing and you don't have to be a guy she's cheating on you dude...
Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 4, 2003 I don't see the appeal to this animated series. Its as if Kevin Smith was writing this show while smoking out with Jason Mewes during a writers block period then all of a sudden he had an attack of ADD. The 2nd episode was harsh on the eyes. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 4, 2003 Comedy Central has this latenight animation thing, I don't know if it's weeknights or weekends though. I'm talking in the 2 and 3 AMs...they show Clerks, Gary and MIke (which sucked) and Undergrads.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Heeey, Gary and Mike was all right. I think the current schedue is Dilbert, Clerks, Gary and Mike, Undergrads. Pretty good.

I thought some of the episodes were better written than his movies.

HurriShane 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I've got the Clerks Animated Series on DVD, and it works just fine on my PS2. And I might be in the minority, but I liked the cartoons better than the actual movie.
Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted March 7, 2003 I have the DVDs. I like the movie more, but the cartoon is fine. The Japanese Animation at the end of the courtroom episode is hilarious.
