The true story about baseball player Jim Piersall who just out of the blue went crazy and was out of his mind for a couple years. After a while he just kinda snapped out of it and had no clue he's done all the crazy stuff he'd done. Excelent movie, excelent book. I haven't seen The Ring yet....I might pick that up
The Dames Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I don't want the Ring in my house. That is fear. Dames
Guest NoCalMike Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I know my girlfriend is buying the Ring today. I am probably gonna buy RINGU this weekend and then whenever we want to, we can switch.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I don't want the Ring in my house. That is fear. Dames Well I'm going to make a copy and give it to some unsuspecting soul just to be on the safe side.
Guest Hamburger Man Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Already picked up the Ring on DVD. Picked a copy for my girlfriend too. That is an awesome movie.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I got the Ring yesterday because my school bookstore puts DVDs out whenever they want. I watched it last night again...and it still creeps me out.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I got the Ring yesterday because my school bookstore puts DVDs out whenever they want. I watched it last night again...and it still creeps me out. Did you watch "the video" that they included by itself as an extra.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Oh forgot to add. Whats Ringu? Ringu is the original Japanese movie that The Ring is completely based on. The Ring was basically an American remake of Ringu. I also believe that FearDotCom was loosely based on Ringu
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I was going to watch the video...which appears to be an extended version of the videotape from the movie... but I opted to turn the lights back on instead and pop in something a little less...you know... sigh...I'm a bitch.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 You turned on Cartoon Network didn't you... I do that after watching one of the few things that still freaks me out.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 the video is sort of a deleted scenes montage, with the original ending with the video store and the fate of the cabin owner guy and all that. Ringu was also based on a novel by Koji Suzuki, and FearDotCom was sortof based on it and (I think) Kairo/Pulse. And yes, I have both, and they are awsm. The subtitles on the Ringu DVD are way better than the ones on the version I downloaded and put on the server.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 You forgot Day the Earth Stood Still and Quest for Fire.
