Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Donkey Kong = Brock Lesnar? Yeah sure, he does that stupid monkey dance all the time. All he needs is a stack of barrels in the corner of the ring so he can throw them.

Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Angle/Lesnar from next week will probably be a recreation of Bruno Sammartino vs. Buddy Rogers in that wonderful 15 or something second squash back in the day
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Angle can take an F-5 if Hogan can. He won't be able to take it well or sell it like he is the king of doing, but He can take one. Great idea. Let's screw Angle's neck up even more, and put him out for two years instead of one.

What the hell does Hogan have to do with anything here? It's not like he took it with a neck injury.

Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted March 5, 2003 LMAO No no no really! Besides, these two guys must be related: AND Similar nose and all that. So all HHH has to do to win is grab the sledgehammer and swing it wildly at a million miles an hour while a cheesy 8-bit MIDI tune blares over the sound system. Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Since when is 1wrestling.com's word taken as gospel? Isn't their news taken with a grain of salt by most of you already, if not altogether disregarded? Why does their word matter so much now?
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted March 5, 2003 I'll take it with some salt on the side, but it goes along with what has happened on the Smackdown taping.

Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Hogan is one guy who won't take a lot of moves. He won;t take the gist of most people's offense (at least not correctly) He can take the F-5 by landing predominantly on his forearms, if he must take it. I, for one, don't want him to, but if he must, I believe it may be manageable with no further aggrevation to his injury. Don't crucify me for just speculating, chill the fuck out. Guest Blackston Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Hell, didn't Benoit have the same injury, and wrestle in the ME at KotR 2001? I just don't understand why you guys think that the slightest movement will result in paralysis. I think that Angle is being a consumate professional in this particular instance. I'll bet that he is going to go out there next Tuesday and put his all into having a (mostly) safe, entertaining match with Lesnar. Angle realizes that the company put all of their resources into hyping his feud up, and I bet he feels that this feud deserves a payoff, al biet not the **** match that we were expecting, but just a payoff. There will be tears and cheers for Angle next week in Pittsburgh, and even though he is going to go out a loser to Lesnar, he will ultimately go out on top. I just don't understand why you guys think that the slightest movement will result in paralysis. It's called not taking a risk and fucking up your future. As for Benoit....it was a 3 way match, and if I remember, Jericho/Austin took most of the big bumps. And Angle's injury is more severe. Benoit's was from wear and tear....Angle's is from wear and tear as well, but he has that Olympic Neck injury from the past that haunts him....and it's not surprising that this current neck situation is because of that, making this situation A LOT more serious. Invictus 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Making Kurt wrestle in this match goes to show just how little regard Vince has for his Wrestler's well being. There is being a professional and there is being stupid and risking your life for a meaningless wrestling feud.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Pardon my ignorance, but has it been established just what Angle's injury or problem is as of now? Maybe his injury in 96 was worse, but his problems could be less severe than Benoit's at that time. What exactly is wrong? I'm only asking because I don't think we have enough information to say who's was worse. The risk is not good to take either way, but I'm asking in terms of possibility here. Guest Sakura Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Uh, yeah. Let's all overreact and damn Vince to hell. We don't know if they will actually wrestle. We don't know if Vince is making him. We don't know why it was booked this way. We don't know how badly it is. Maybe he feels he can a match. Maybe he can't and they're going to run some angle. How about we wait and see what happens before we start this crap?

Like I said above, I'm assuming Angle's is worse because of his history. Benoit's just happened because it happened of the wear and tear. Angle really fucked up his neck in the Olympics, and he still preformed with it fucked up back then, and I guess he's going to now. And Kurt has all the characteristics of being fucked up (Numbness in your body parts isn't usually a good sign), so I'd say from my logic Kurt's neck injury is worse because it's not new. And I'm going to bed....explanation for why I won't be able to reply to anyone's comments right away. Just a head's up....night everyone.

If his arm is going numb from this injury as was stated, that's pretty damn serious if you ask me.

Its hard to say if Angles is more severe actually.........they haven't released full out what the details are of the injury other than he wont be able to do Mania. All I know is that if he can't do Mania then he shouldn't do next week either. I do admit I totally forgot about Benoits deal though, so it may be possibly to work a match (even a strong one) without further damage. But once again it comes back to the point where blowing off the Angle-Lesnar wad one week on Smackdown is extremely wrong from a business perspective. I STILL think throughtout all of the lukewarm buildup of this Lesnar-Angle feud that it is one of the only matches that can deliver long term potential for the company (other than your typical old WCW guy v. WWE guy match like Goldberg-Austin) due to the legit wrestling backgrounds of the two. Its completely stupid to ruin that by starting out with an initial matchup between them be something of this nature. It ruins the future potential for a program with the two. If Angle CAN work another match, it should be with Benoit, period. How is anyone going to be considered legit against Lesnar at Mania?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 5, 2003 I remember hearing that Benoit was working for a month hurt - taking some sort of injections (not steroids... well, probably roids too) to help ease the pain. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted March 5, 2003 for how many yrs now has Mario held down luigi? None. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted March 5, 2003 So instead of Angle forfeiting the title in his own town, so that there may be a cloud of mystery whether "Angle or Lesnar is the better wrestler" during the downtime, we'll get a squash so that Angle's neck is partially protected before surgery? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?
