Guest Mr.Negativity Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I think that Rico is currently one of the more entertaining guys on RAW. I have no idea why they put him with the very boring Jamal and Rosey. He has pretty good mic skills, is decent in the ring, and has pretty good heat with the crowd. He had tremendous heat when he was the manager for Billy and Chuck. I don't understand why they'd give a semi-push to D'Lo Brown and then release him, when they could've used it to push Rico instead. They desperately need to build midcard wrestlers because the RAW shows usually kill the crowd with "fillers". Mr. Negativity
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted March 6, 2003 He's not a hoss, not a Kliq member, and he's 42. That's why. It sucks, and he deserves a push, but he won't get one.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 6, 2003 He's old. I know it doesn't stop them pushing other guys, but that is their problem with Rico. Maybe because he's also small.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted March 6, 2003 He is pretty over as a heel and it would make sense, but not a lot of things really makes sense right now does it?

They'll still push broken down dudmasters like Hogan who is in his late 40's and Nash who is near 50, but not Rico. Nuh-uh.
Guest TonyJaymzReloaded Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Its the writing team being dicks. JR brought him up, seeing his talent, when the writing team werent "ready for him". So basically he's been getting the shits for a year now

Guest Brian Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Because Rico's not poished, has a bad gimmick to get a solid push, is old for someone who hasn't already made it or had name value in the past, and is small.

Man, I really wish smaller wrestlers would be given a real chance to shine in the WWE. He's fairly new to the business so that's why he hasn't made it already. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 6, 2003 You know, after the gay wedding fiasco, I IMMEDIATELY said Rico: Next IC Champ. We get to raw, and Bisch is like "Rico, I have a big match for you" and I'm YES!!! "Ric Flair!" NO! It all went downhill from there.

We get to raw, and Bisch is like "Rico, I have a big match for you" and I'm YES!!! "Ric Flair!" NO! It all went downhill from there. The IC title and Rico would have been a perfect match. I miss the IC title, atleast it gave midcarders something to do while elevating them.
Guest TMPacMan Report post Posted March 6, 2003 What do you think Rico's best match was in the WWE so far? I loved the match he had with Rey Mysterio Jr. on SmackDown before Rico went to RAW...it was a really great match and I enjoyed it alot. ~Pac
HurriShane 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I think that Rico should never have left Smackdown. He would have been a perfect fit for the Cruiserweight division . Instead he's stuck on Raw with two super heavyweights.

I think I'm really going to have to look into a change of faith or something, this is life altering. Rico deserves it, and he was building a bit of a roll. I remember one of his first matches he busted out with some good moves, like the falcon arrow. He's got a great range of kicks and moves and sells well. Poor bastard, just more fodder for the WWE machine.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 6, 2003 It would be hard to push him given how they debut him. To get him over they need to make him into a serious wrestler, and shave those sideburns Hippy!
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Someone hit the nail on the head. he's old AND unestablished. Nash and Hogan are old sure but have alot of green to their name. He also looks goofy.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I actually thought that Rico's win over Flair would propell him to the IC Title... and he got 3 Minute Warning and Heat matches. Poor guy.
Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Yup there was no problem going over Flair who was pretty over at the time and coming off the rvd screwing, I thought it was going to be the catalyst for a push at the time
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Even though Rico can draw pretty good Heel Heat on his own, he'll be released by the end of the year for not being a "Team Player" and helping get 3MW over and for not connecting with the Crowd.
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Rico is too small, talented, has good heel heat and old in other words he is not superstar material well that's according to Vince McMonkey.

Does that mean that if you're juiced-up, old, a legend in your own mind and have great heel heat you ARE superstar material? Well I guess owning the company helps too.
