Guest Rob Van Dam Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Since I'm the number 1 Griffey mark on this board.... Ken Griffey Jr. has just homered three times in one game against the Chicago Cubs (I Think) He's Back, Hopefully!
The Dames Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Hey RVD...the season hasn't started. He's got more than enough time to get injured by April. Dames
Guest alkeiper Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 He never left. The problem's been that he's had trouble staying healthy. I'm hoping he can keep it together this year.

Guest Rob Van Dam Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 well i care, he hit the homers after guys that are on going to be in the cubs starting rotation, that shows that he is getting his swing back. Griffey in 2003!! 50 homers, .305, 130 rbis
Guest the pinjockey Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Remember two years ago when Herbert Perry hit the most homers of anyone in spring training. That translated well into real games didnt it?
Guest alkeiper Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 True, but did Herbert Perry have a previous track record of 400+ home runs?

Griffey in 2003!! 50 homers, .305, 130 rbis No- it shows nothing. Let's see what he does when it counts
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Spring Training, my friend. And Ken Griffey Jr. is the only man in all of sports that I openly root for to fail. I will root against teams, but Griffey is the only actual player that I hope has a terrible season every year. Uh oh. I hope he doesn't read this he may tell his daddy on me.
Guest alkeiper Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Just out of curiosity, why do you hate him so much?
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Just out of curiosity, why do you hate him so much? He's not NEARLY as good as he seems to think he is, (He's good, don't get me wrong, but not as go as he thinks.) he's a primadonna whining daddy's boy, and a bold faced liar. I frown on those personality traits
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 OK AS...Ya can talk smack about SOH and shit...but DON'T EVEN THINK about calling out any of my reds Bitch... Junior will get 34 HR, .297 and 124 Ribbies....
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I don't understand why wou like the whine fuck IIRC, didn't he bad mouth the Reds, the Bengals, an all of Cinncinatti a couple of yeas back, while ON the team, before trying to pull a powerplay and make his daddy manager? And The number one reason I hate the fuck. In his free agent off season, The stupid shit said he refused to come to New York. That's fine, it's his decission, and I wasn't heart broken. But what did piss me off was his explanation. He told this whole story about how when his daddy was a Yankee, he was in the Yankee dug out or something with his daddy when mean, evil George Steinbrenner kicked him out, scarring him for life and some other nonsense. Yeah, that's nice and all that, and it would be very touching (well, no, not really), if it happened to be true. You see, it wasn't George. It was Billy Martin. Oopsy. Either Griffey is retarded, or he's been holding a grudge against a guy whoad been dead for ten years at that time, and he didn't want to look like a fool, so the fuck concocted the George story.
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I was just telling you not say ANYTHING about my reds...Simple as that.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I was just telling you not say ANYTHING about my reds...Simple as that. And I'm no saying anythng about them. Because clearly, Kenny Boy isn't on the Reds, he's BIGGER than them (As evidenced clearly and concisely by his recent playing) Hey, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I was just telling you not say ANYTHING about my reds...Simple as that. Calm down Choken One. It's common knowledge that the Reds suck. ::1995 mode on:: Hey Choken- there's some RED on the floor- want to SWEEP it up? ::1995 mode off::

Guest MaxPower27 Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 ::2002 mode on:: We can't all be ANGELS and finish in FOUR minutes ::2002 mode off::
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 ::2002 mode on:: We can't all be ANGELS and finish in FOUR minutes ::2002 mode off:: That wasn't a sweep. I doesn't count.
Guest MrRant Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I hate Griffey. Whiny fuck. I am glad he left to that shit hole and got off my Mariners. Rodriguez can go fuck himself too.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Damn. It was still a good one. Hmm... We could always hit Bob low and wonder why Atlanta's won 11 straight division titles and only 1 World Series.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Damn. It was still a good one. Hmm... We could always hit Bob low and wonder why Atlanta's won 11 straight division titles and only 1 World Series. Hey, it could be worse: 1990s Indians
Guest bob_barron Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 It's better then winning 0 World Series. I've very happy that we got to win one. And TC will appreciate you pointing out that's 11 straight
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Cute...At least we have more to show for our history. But that's not important. Doesn't it seem bad that you could win the Thing 11 times and yet only once could you actually finish up on top. Atlanta is the Epitome of Choke.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 The Reds were never able to win 11 division titles. I think it's a pretty big accomplishment to do that
Guest Rob Van Dam Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Everybody is forgetting cincys new field which the outfield was designed for Griffey and him hitting homeruns. I wish Griffey played in Colorado, he would be at 755 by now
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 The Reds were never able to win 11 division titles. Unfortunately, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who cares and would take the Braves 11 divisional titles over the Big Red Machine.

I wish Griffey played in Colorado, he would be at 755 by now They designed an outfield so Griffey could hit home runs. That's really ghey. I wasn't even born in time for the Big Red Machine so I'm happy with the 11 division titles in a row
Guest Anglesault Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 so I'm happy with the 11 division titles in a row But, the thing is, 11 division titles really do mean nothing. And you don't HAVE to be born to appreciate it it. Would you take the eleven division titles over The Yankee dynsaty of the fifties?
