Not like that's any great accomplishment. Notice I didn't say 11 STRAIGHT division titles. They get that on a technicality. Remember- the Mets were good a few years ago. 2001 the Braves were decimated by injuries and had to contend with a hot Phillies team and almost lost it there. If we win it this year I think it'll be a miracle. Philly has Millwood and Thome, the Mets have Glavine- it's gonna be tough. The only really great three-team race the Braves ever had was that god-awful 2001 season. Not that hard to win a division that only ever has one other team that's even semi-good. It's like winning the Southeast division in the NHL. Oh, and Morandini injuring Maddux????? What the heck are you smoking??? Wasn't that the game where Atlanta couldn't get anything off Tommy Greene and were booting the ball all over the park? That game was never in doubt from the start. The fact that they've been able to do so every uear is a pretty impressive feat. The Regular Season meant nothing because they ALWAYS for the most part turned it "ON" during the time it really matters, Playoffs. The Atlanta Braves never did. That was from the Cincy Enquirer. He also sponsors children in a local program for the poor. He has adopted two children. Was the only player to call Hal McCoy to congratulate him on being elected into the baseball writers hall of fame. He named his boat after his daughter, not one of his accomplishments. If Hinske, Phelps, and Halladay can at least match their seasons from last year, they'll have a chance to surprise a few teams. They'll still finish 3rd, though, for the 390th straight year.
