Yeah but you can argue that As long as they make it in the Sweet 16 every year...Where is the harm? Ya know...Sure, I am still expectin Mark Few to sign with UCLA in 6 weeks.

I suspect that despite the horror this season has been and UCLA's perennial underachievement under him, Lavin will be sought after by quite a few schools. I think a lower-profile school would be best for him...his record is enviable at schools not named UCLA or UNC, schools that have loads of championships and demand that their team at least be championship-caliber.

UCLA's top candidate I believe is Pittsburgh's Ben Howland, who had a job out on the West Coast before going to Pitt and turning their program around. UCLA could even go after a head coach from a mid major. Bob Williams, the UC Santa Barbara coach and a UCLA alum has been mentioned. Another possibility is the UC Irvine coach (don't know his name). Two reasons: 1) UCI has become a force in the Big West and 2) UCLA AD Dan Guerrero used to be the AD at UCI.

I think Lavin will likely end up at either GA to follow his evil master Harrick or perhaps a low end C-USA school (seriously, with Lavin, Pitino, and Calipari we'd have the greaseball coach quotient for the entire NCAA).

The Big Ten has a good group of coaches, too.

O'Brien, Izzo, Self, Keady... not too shabby a group of coaches. If only IU still had Knight, then we would probably be the best coached conference in the nation.

Look at da Ducks...and Pitt... way to go.

I think Pitt will probably tie down a number one seed with their win. And the Ducks will get a higher seed. I really enjoyed the Pac Ten tourney this year. Many close games. I think the Big Ten has been really boring, just not enough scoring for my liking.

Can't wait to see the Seedings tomarrow.

Pitt will definitely get a #1 seed, but I don't know who will get the other 3; Probably Kansas, Arizona and Texas.

Still time to get in on the TSM Pick 'Em group. Check the first page of this thread for details.

How could anyone within the definition of sanity NOT say UK is a 1 seed? Texas is soooo not a 1...didn't win the reg season Big 12, didn't win tourney. UK, AZ, KU, and maybe Pitt as the 1s.

Pitt's not a #1. They're not even the best team in their own conference.

It'll probably be AZ, UK, KU and OK (assuming they beat Mizzou for the Big 12 title, and probably even if they don't).

Arizona-West

Kentucky-South

Kansas-Midwest

Texas or Oklahoma-East

Oklahoma gets it if they win, Texas gets it if Oklahoma loses. Texas beat Oklahoma twice.

The #2. seeds are hard to figure out.

Either Oklahoma or Texas will get one. Pittsburgh will get one. That leaves 2 spots. If I had to guess. Marquette, Syracuse, Duke (if they win), and Florida are possibilities.

Oh Yes...I've done about 6 different sets already...

4 OF THEM I tAKE kENTUCKY all the way, One I went with Oklahoma and other I went with the "nOt bloody likely" pick...Wake.

hOWEVER, In the Mwest...I always wind up with U.K and Marquette in the fINALS...But in the West, I've had Six different Finals...

South is the hardest because I cant buy Texas at all...Don't Know to go with UCONN, X or the defending champions.

it's picking the Cinderella that is annoying me...

I was dead set on taking Butler but espn is ADAMENT that miss St is good enough to win the region...

I like S. Illinois but Missouri is rolling, but I am teeter trotting between Wisc.-Mil and San Diego.

Since we HAVE to have a #12 beat #5 at least ONCE...We can rule out UCONN for being that team and Wisconsin...That leaves Norte Dame and Miss. State.

I haven't heard much about N.D lately, so that means they will win according to Newton's law of fuck around the brackets...means Mississippi is the team on the outs...

My pick for lowest 1st round seed winner?

San Diego at #13 or MAYBE #14 Holy Cross...
