Guest starvenger Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Well, I can't say that it was unexpected, but I hope that this gives him some time to purge all of his personal demons...
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2003 it is now been confirmed. dont look to see fleury in the nhl in the near future because no one wants to deal with the trouble he causes
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted March 9, 2003 I saw it on channel 5 a few hours ago. He's on waivers nad if nobody takes him now it's doubtful anybody will ever.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Yeah, he's due to make 4.5 mil next season, and based on the trouble that he's caused in Chicago, I can't blame anyone for not wanting to sign him. Ray Ferraro from ESPN suggested that Chicago should have tried to sign him to a incentive-laden contract and I can't agree with Ferraro more. Chicago screwed Chicago. Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted March 9, 2003 I hope no one picks him up and he has to retire. The last thing he needs right now is to be on the road, living the NHL lifestyle. Pay him his $4.5 mil next year, and get him the help he so desperately needs.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Toronto would probably sign him

Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 9, 2003 I knew would happen, but everyone last summer was like, "Fleury is better than Amonte!" Of course, Tony Amonte is a leader, and doesn't have multiple trips to rehab under his belt. It just shows you how cheap Blackhawks management is. They didn't want to give Amonte the money, so they found a cheaper replacement, which in turn causes the team to lose money this year by not even being mediocre enough to keep the fans around. Better than when they'd charge thirty dollars to watch Blackhawk home games on PPV.
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted March 9, 2003 I believe Bill Wirtz is in the NHL Hall of Fame, obviously nominated for induction by somebody who was a big Red Wings fan.
Guest cartman Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Steve Shields should be on waivers too...
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted March 9, 2003 By this April, the Hawks will have missed six playoffs. Five of them will have been in the last six years. I'm sure that if Amonte, Roenick, Belfour, and Chelios stuck around, Chicago would have won another Stanley Cup by now.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Heh. Fleury gets put on waivers and he scores today. High scoring game between Boston and Chicago today.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Just for the record, Jeremy Roenick had owed me autograph for about seven years now. It's scary seeing how we trade away Chelios, and he goes on to be the plus/munis mastah some more, and we get nothing. Everyone the Hawks trade away gets better, see Dumont, J.P. I think the Hawks are now the team in the longest draught for The Cup, and the they spend money, it makes a lot of sense.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Steve Shields should be on waivers too... Steve Sheilds should be relentlessly beaten with hockey sticks after that fucking game today. Christ, they could have put an equipment bag in net and it would have done better.

Guest Brush with Greatness Report post Posted March 10, 2003 They need Blaine Lacher back.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Blaine Lacher!! Or Bill Ranford. They had him for a few seasons and he did nothing memorable. They sent him away for Adam Oates I think. (Probably wrong)
