My biggest sports markout moments were: - Canada hockey wins double gold in Salt Lake City - Blue Jays win the World Series (either time) - Donovan Bailey breaks the 100m record in Atlanta in 1996 - Mario Lemieux scores to win 1987 Canada Cup - Broncos finally win the Super Bowl As far as biggest moments in history, I would probably say Jesse Owens winning four gold medals in front of Hitler in 1936, Jackie Robinson breaking the colour barrier, and Hank Aaron breaking Babe Ruth's home run record. Personally -Lakers winning the '85 Championship in the Garden. -Game 1 of the 1991 World Series (I was there) -Twins win 1987 World Series -Gophers knocking of #1. Penn St in Happy Valley -Gophers winning the Hockey Championship Biggest moments -Jackie Robinson breaks the Color Barrier -Chiefs win Super Bowl IV-many people thought the Jets win was a fluke. The Chiefs winning showed that the AFC was a legitamate league. -The Shot Heard Round the World -Gretzky is traded to Los Angles. Was the start of migration south of the NHL. It was also the beginning of the end of Canadian domiance. Montreal in 1993 was the last Canadian team to win the Stanly Cup. -Bird and Magic enter NBA in 1979. The league was in serious trouble. These two opposites played for long time rivals Boston and Los Angeles. Both those teams matched their respected leaders style to a tee.
