Jim Ross said last year that Ultimo Dragon would most likely come in in 2003. There was never anything that said he would come in last year.

Maybe, finally, they are getting serious about the CW division. Rey Jr., Ultimo Dragon, Spanky, Tajiri, Noble, Moore, Kidman, Guido, and hopefully Dragon will bring in some guys too. That could tear it up nightly.

Maybe WWe will get to thinking that "they're cheaper, will perform well everynight, are comfortable with the high paced style that fans desire and aren't as injury prone". Then they will start using smaller quicker guys and less injury prone slugs.

 

And maybe Vince will retire/die soon so that can happen. But still It'd be nice to have more good cruisers no matter their card position.

 

But honestly WWe could actually be trying to push the divison now that Rey is threatening to win the title.

I'm looking forward to seeing Ultimo in the WWE, and seeing him in the ring with guys like Eddie,Rey,Tajiri and the like. Hopefully he can be a serious threat to the CW Title and put on awesome matches night in and night out like he did in WCW, I haven't seen any of his Japanese matches other than the J-Cup.

If I was Ultimo, I would get some sort of decent guaranteed base salary for the first year, fulfill it, and then take the money & run. He really has no place in the WWE, besides along side of Tajiri which means NOTHING, unfortunately.
