FigureFourTapes Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 It was at a place called Uncle Franklin's barn, the name of the arena is the most normal thing that happend all night. First off, we were sitting next to some drunk fucking rednecks who kept yelling about their dick size. Then the first match was WILD, the match went outside the arena, which made no sense since non of the fans could see the match. However, when they came back in the arena they were both a bloody mess and hugging, and dragging some motherfucker who I'd never seen before behind them. So there was a turn outside the arena where only the passing traffic could see it. Then there was an intermission, where CROWD members got to wrestle and the rednecks charged the ring and whaled on the ring announcer, now I thought this was a work until the ring announcer was holding his nose yelling, "THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS BROKE IT!" It was an odd experience and I wouldn't reccomend it for anyway. And I only shared this, because you guys are the only ones who would understand it. Since my only friends who watch wrestling were with me.
Guest JHawk Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 What the hell kind of indy show was that? I've heard of fans being allowed in the ring at intermission if they're posing for pictures with someone on the card, but never [i[wrestling[/i] at intermission. What the hell kind of indy show was that?
FigureFourTapes Posted March 10, 2003 Author Report Posted March 10, 2003 It was All-Star Georgia Championship Heavyweight Wrestling.
Chunk Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 What the hell? That must have been a work, surely. I mean, what wrestler would agree to wrestle someone from the crowd? Thats just wierd. ChUnK!
FigureFourTapes Posted March 10, 2003 Author Report Posted March 10, 2003 They were gonna let the crowd get in and fight each other, that I think was a work. But while the announcer was announcing the part about the crowd, the rednecks next to me jumped in the ring and started whaling on him.
Guest kingkamala Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Anyone ever seen the documentary Southern Discomfort featuring Bob Armstrong and the Iron Shiek? This reminds me sorta of that except this story is a lot more extreme.
Guest subliminal_animal Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 It was at a place called Uncle Franklin's barn ... Uncle Franklin sounds like the name of some meek old Southern man with spectacles that still thinks slavery is in effect. the name of the arena is the most normal thing that happend all night. Holy shit. Then you have to tell us more than what you did. It's an obligation. And I only shared this, because you guys are the only ones who would understand it. Since my only friends who watch wrestling were with me. Huh? Wouldn't they understand it, then? What the hell? That must have been a work, surely. I mean, what wrestler would agree to wrestle someone from the crowd? Thats just wierd. Crusher Hogan? Or Bonesaw McGraw, but I don't think those people were technically in the crowd. It was All-Star Georgia Championship Heavyweight Wrestling. More like Backyard Barnburning, USA!
FigureFourTapes Posted March 13, 2003 Author Report Posted March 13, 2003 About 50 people were going, I heard they are having another show I wanta go.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Why, you wanna hop in the ring and beat the ring announcer too?
Guest treble charged Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 I went to an indy show way back (1994, I think, and I think it was Killer Kowalski's promotion since Terra Ryzing [HHH] and Saturn were both there), when after the show the entire crowd, pretty much, rushed the ring and a lot of people got in and were fucking around in there. I really don't remember what happened after that, though.
FigureFourTapes Posted March 14, 2003 Author Report Posted March 14, 2003 Hell why not? While I'm at it, I'll run to the grocery store and turn heel too, it's all a success down at Uncle Franklin's barn. Don't you notherners know anything?
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 I must see this for myself. Where in Georgia?
Chunk Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 I went to an NWA-UK show, and some guys stormed the ring there. The promoter cut some horrible Kayfabe speech about the talent teaching the kids that stormed the ring a lesson. The funny thing was that the two kids kind of got carried away, and one of them was sent flying out of the ring and crashing head first into a table. It must have hurt, but it was bloddy funny to watch. ChUnK!
