Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Card so far, updated as necessary BEST OF THE BEST TOURNAMENT 12 MEN, 4 ROUNDS, 1 WINNER Bracket #1 Trent Acid vs. Ric Blade vs. Tony Mamaluke Bracket #2 Ruckus vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Chri$ Ca$h Bracket #3 B-Boy vs. Lil' Chulo vs. Deranged Bracket #4 Jimmy Rave vs. Jason Cross vs. A.J. Styles Non-tourny matches CZW World Heavyweight Championship Messiah © vs. Nick Gage Thumbtack Strap Match (Not officially announced, but Zandig made the challenge at Divide & Conquer) Zandig vs. Rockin' Rebel Winner's Choice Battle Royale Over-the-top, winner recieves title shot of their choice Card subject to change. If I get really possessed, once the full tournament is announced, I'll do a complete breakdown of the competitors, the matches, the card, and whatever. maybe I'll suck up to Dames and try to get it on the front page as well. Guest Sturgis Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I'm gonna go on record and say if Acid and Mamaluke advance, they will put on MOTN.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 edit- CZW moved the bottom three brackets around some. And my money is on an Acid-Blade semi, to go along with their feud. Poor Tony, stuck playing job-boy for that match. I'd rather see Acid-Mamaluke then Acid-Blade.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 17, 2003 -edit: added people who have been announced for the tourny, just not officially by CZW. B-Boy hasn't been announced, but we all know he's gonna be in it. Added Mondo/Kashmere. That's three non-tourny matches, though I think that Zandig/Rebel is going to be less of a match and more of a beating. There has also been talk about there being another battle royale during the show, a la last year. That would make 4, or 3 1/2 non-tourny matches for a show that is going to start really late, thanks to ROH and CZW's usual late starts. Unless they rush the shit out of matches, this could be a show that gets over around 3 in the morning.
Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted March 17, 2003 The show is going to be off the hook this year, I went to divide and conquer, and it was awesome, and if that is any inclination of this show, itll blow the roof off of viking hall. I will most likely be going to this show, along with ring of honor earlier in the day, a doubleheader BABY!!!!
Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted March 17, 2003 yeah the show is looking all sorts of good right now lets just hope all the guys show up and none of them retire right before the show(mr cross i am looking at you)
Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted March 17, 2003 Theres two or three absolute blinding matches they have to live up to from the past two Best of the Best tournys. No Fliesch or Super Dragon is a blow. Although Dutt, Ruckus and Trent Acid are much improved wrestlers than they were last year and B Boy is a solid worker. The card still looks lacking anything that I think will be great. Somehow getting the Briscoe Bros to be in it would be a massive bonus.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 17, 2003 I still don't like the 3 way dance to a singles match with the same guys. And why is everyone so high on Mamaluke, I don't think he's anything special in singles matches.

And why is everyone so high on Mamaluke, I don't think he's anything special in singles matches. as opposed to next years iwa ms ted petti invitational where the final will be a three way they are high on mamaluke becose he is one of the best technicle wrestlers in the indys, right behind reckless youth. Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted March 21, 2003 updated card Trent Acid Ric Blade Tony Mamaluke Ruckus Sonjay Chri$ Ca$h B-Boy Lil' Cholo Deranged Jimmy Rave ??? ??? third bracket was anounced
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 21, 2003 Hmmm, Deranged is a surprise. I know who the other two seeds are (Jason Cross is obviously one of them, having been announced on Wildside TV, but the other one shall remain a mystery) and I had Justice pegged for the 12th spot and as a job job. Either way, a B-Boy-Lil' Chulo quarter was predicted ever since Chulo was announced.
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted March 21, 2003 I doubt Justice will be in it, I'm leaning toward one of the briscoes or Paul London
Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted March 21, 2003 i think they just might go with nephtali since he is the florida unified cruiserweight champ.
Guest Miss Indy Queen Report post Posted March 21, 2003 I remember seeing Nephtali at the REALLY REALLY REALLY bad Alpha Pro show in NY back in November and thinking how did he become a champion. I felt bad b/c literally everyone (there were only 85 people that I counted that night), were bashing at him from his looks, to his wrestling style.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 21, 2003 I'm not thinking any of the Florida guys. While there is one person who works ROH (Derranged) in there, I'm thinking there is going to be a bigger name in that last bracket. However, my theory is probably wrong, since it will most likely be a Cross/Rave quarter, unless either Zandig has a slight bone to pick with Cross, or the 12th person is a big enough name to cause Cross to job out early. Rave isn't going out early; they're not going to job the trifecta winner.
Guest Miss Indy Queen Report post Posted March 21, 2003 I'm very surprised that Deranged is on the show. I wonder why they chose him to work the show. I mean he's not a bad wrestler, I think he's really good but I'm just a little surprised either way. I can't wait for this show, I went to COD 4 and had a great time! Chunk 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2003 Is there any chance that the last place will go to Paul London? I know hes injured, but is there any other reason that im missing, for him not being on the card? ChUnK!
Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted March 21, 2003 London as he is injured no and if he works anywhere that day it will be for ROH. If he was fully fit I doubt he would have worked the show anyway, CZW has the stigma like XPW that you may be blackballed or at least not even looked at by the WWE if you work for them. Paul London being a good prospect would'nt be jumping at the chance to work for Zandig imo because of this. This years BOTB seems to be for CZW fans only. The guys coming in are far pulling off from the standard of match as Fleisch vs Jonny Storm or Super Dragon vs B Boy. I could be surpised I suppose but I'll wait for show reports. I have to agree. The show doesnt appeal to me as much as I thought it would at first. It will still be well worth checking out though. ChUnK
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 24, 2003 Battle Royale has been added to the card, making four non-tourny matches. Also, it's been said that the twelth competitor might be "international," so take that as you will.

Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 28, 2003 Brutalbutchershoppe.com has leaked info that JAY BRISCOE is going to be the 12th participant in BOTB3. Apparently, international experience can be considered a brief trip in Big Japan. Either way, if this is true, welcome home Jay. And since Mark is FINALLY 18 (we think), he can come wrestle in Philly too.

PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Show sounds amazing, I think B-Boy or Sonjay will win it BTW think Kaos could debut in that Battle Royal?
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Maybe, leaning more towards no. If Kaos was going to show up at BOTB3, it'd prob be in the Messiah/Gage match, with Messiah and Kaos' XPW history. As for the battle royale, usual CZW regs. and maybe some ROH wrestlers too, such as Dunn and Marcos and maybe some more Special K members.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted March 29, 2003 As for the battle royale, usual CZW regs. and maybe some ROH wrestlers too, such as Dunn and Marcos and maybe some more Special K members. Getting Dunn/Marcos and Special K members would be perfectly fine for me as far as the number of ROH guys CZW uses every show. Dunn/Marcos just rule. And Special K range from being fun wrestlers, to awesome spot machines, and then to guys who an take great, insane bumps when needed. And since Feinstein seems to have made it 14 members, they probably work cheap.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 30, 2003 There is also a rumor going around on the czwfans board that "Spyder" Nate Webb may have some involvement in the Mondo/Kashmere Iron Man Title match. Take it as you will.

Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 31, 2003 czwwrestling.com has confirmed that A.J. STYLES is #12 for BOTB3! Wow, that changes all of my predictions now.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted March 31, 2003 Damn. While Styles definetly isn't going to win the thing, AJ Styles vs. Jimmy Rave should kick ass. Styles Clash is a Wildside guru, have these two ever faced each other in 15 minute match?
