Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 11, 2003 www.dcemulation.com is where you a good place to look for help and general FAQs. I suggest using the Selfboot Inducer and SBI packs to mix and match emulators on one disc. I have NES, SNES, GBC on one disc with about 500 roms.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Yeah, I know. I've burned Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Crazy Taxi 2. I have 200 Super Nintendo games on one C.D., too. If you are interested in a Nester disc with virtually every NES game, (USA, Japan, & Europe), then contact me. I also have tons of games I'd be willing to share, just let me know. I suggest either finding Fire Pro. D somewhere, or get it from me. Also, if you want anything about the DC explained, from how to get the above to how to watch movies no the DC to how to play PSX games on the DC, then let me know. See my sig for my AIM name, and I'll fix you up with everything you need to get all you can out of your Dreamcast, heh.
Guest Karnage Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Anyone have a disc that can turn the dreamcast into a VCD player?
Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Anyone have a disc that can turn the dreamcast into a VCD player? I do believe the only way to play true VCD's is by using this program. You can however view any video at all on a Dreamcast as long as it is compressed/encoded as DivX. You will need VirtualDub to do this, so have fun. I've even formatted video's that I've made myself to be played on my Dreamcast. To play DivX on the Dreamcast, you need the DivX Dreamcast disc, and you can get that from any PToP program, me, or the website I gave you I do believe. Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 11, 2003 how/where can i get SNES or maybe Atari?? There is not a perfectly working SNES emulator for the Dreamcast. What you would want however is DreamSNES 0.98 I believe it is right now. The problem is simply the fact that most of the games do not work full speed. Many of them right now play slower than they should, or are somewhat choppy. Some games do work perfectly however, so it's worth getting I suppose. Once DreamSNES hits version 1.0, it is said that this will be when it will be 100%, so I'm looking forward to that one. As for the Atari one, I've yet to find a really good one. I have StellaDC, which has hundreds of Atari games on it. The thing though is that all of them load up, some of them you can not start playing for some reason. Many are playable though, so I suppose it's worth it. Hey, at leats ET works, lol. I also have a Game Gear disc which has around 400 games on it that basicly works perfectly, and I also have a Genesis disc with around 600 games on it that also basicly works pefectly. If you ever want either one of these, like the stuff I've mentioned before, just let me know.

Guest Pegasus Kid Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Does anyone know (or can point me in the direction) how to rip Dreamcast games from commercial games and then re-burn them into self booting games? I figure just take out the middle man that is newsgroups or IRC or wherever people get the files and just do them yourself. I've got tons of memory and space on my HD. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm looking for the following games (SELF BOOT ONLY) and will be happy to do a trade or buy if the price is right. You can email me if you want to do a trade and we'll work something out. I'm looking for: Atari Anniversary Edition Capcom Vs SNK Pro (Japanese) ECW Anarchy Rulz Fighting Force 2 Giant Gram 2 (Not 2000 - Japanese) Grandia II (Latest Build – 2 of 2) Mars Matrix Metropolis Street Racer Midway’s Greatest Arcade Hits Mr. Driller Namco Museum NFL Blitz 2001 Powerstone 2 (US) Quake I Red Dog: Superior Firepower (US) Sega World Wide Soccer Euro Edition Shenmue (3 cd’s) Skies Of Arcadia (2 cd’s) (Echelon’s good rip) Soldier Of Fortune (2 cd’s) Sonic Adventure Soul Calibur (US) (latest build with costume fix) South Park Rally Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles Street Fighter 3: Double Impact Street Fighter Alpha 3 Tech Romancer Test Drive 6 Test Drive: V-Rally Tomb Raider 4: The Last Revelation Tomb Raider Chronicles UEFA Dream Soccer Virtua Striker 2 Worms Armageddon Worms World Party (US) WWF Attitude

Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 12, 2003 So Bleemcast can play other games besides Tekken 3, Gran Turismo 2 or Metal Gear Solid? very interesting
Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 12, 2003 So Bleemcast can play other games besides Tekken 3, Gran Turismo 2 or Metal Gear Solid? very interesting Yes, but you need the new Bleemcast disc that came out, yesterday I believe. I have it if anyone wants it. Keep in mind it will not play EVERY PSX game, but it does play tons from what they say. I'm waiting for a list of games that do work before I go and burn tons of PSX games though. Anyhow, if you want the disc, any of ya, let me know.

If there's enough interest, I'd be willing to rip some of my games and put 'em for download, too. I'm talking about just ripping the files right from the original CD, making whatever changes are necessary to run it on a self booting burn and re-burn the game onto a CD-R. I'm not interested in downloading. I'm on dial up and would much prefer to just buy or trade for games as per necessary. Downhome: I already added you to my AOLIM. I'm using Trillian so it may not have worked properly though. Just check my icon here for AOLIM if you come online and don't see me on your contact list so we can work out a deal. How many MB is that bleemcast CD? And didn't they go out of business? Or did they open source it or something? EDIT: Never mind, I downloaded it from Eagan469's link As for ripping your own DC games, I've always been under the impression that you need a special cable, or some kind of drive that can read GD-ROMs. You can't just rip them with a typical PC setup. Hmm, just did a bit of searching, and came across these tools: http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_utils_rip.shtml There might be something there that can lead you in the right direction. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Excellent, it works! Now I have a ton more games that I can play on my DC. Downhome (or anyone else), do you have the Tekken 3 version of bleemcast? The bleemcast I have has missing textures, some music problems and the FMV is all fucked up. It's playable, but I'd rather have a "nice" version.

If it was made after Oct '00 --Dreamcast apparently became aware that consumers started hacking the system--then you need a boot C.D. ??? What in the world are you talking about? The hardware has nothing to do with it. The Dreamcast is based off Windows. The games are ripped, converted, slap on the echelon self boot deal and re-burned (OK it's not quite that simple but anyway...). The date of the DC is irrelevant. I bought mine brand new in December of 2001 (last shipment of hardware IIRC) and I run burned games without a problem.

Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Do not play VCDs on the Dreamcast, just buy a DVD player that plays CDR/CRW Video CD/Super Video CD. ANY Dreamcast VCD player sucks as the video is out of synch and pixels appear out of nowhere. Trust me.
